There is no possible way to say this enough times: great graphics don’t make great games. Perfect Dark Zero looked like a Titian, but it was a snooze. Wii Sports—a mini-sports anthology that includes golf, boxing, tennis, baseball and bowling—looks like Colecovision.
I still say Gears should take the prize across the board, but its still a rocking fun game. And while yer at it, check out there stock value in a year’s time.

Wow. I guess Nintendo proved that they wanted it more than the others did.
And next year looks to be even better, with everything Nintendo is looking to put on their machines being gold. We’re looking at a new Mario game, a new Metroid game, and a new Smash Brothers game on the Wii, and two Final Fantasies for the DS, plus the incredible prospects of the Virtual Console (Starfox 64 Q1 2007!)
Delightful.
Their arms seem kind of Homestarish.
Yeah, one has to wonder how they can use bowling balls without fingers.
Of course, the fact that they don’t actually have arms could be more pertinant.
I’d have to agree with a lot of the games being on that list while not the order their in. Resistance is really pissing me off though since it looks really kick ass but is PS3 exclusive and no game is worth over $600
Oblivion is not on that list.
Time knows nothing about games. Gears should’ve taken the title. Oh well, at least I’m person of the year with my one video on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yADy9Zy_AM )
I would have to agree simply for the fact that Wii Sports is getting people who have never enjoyed games period to play with the Wii.
Hell of a sight seeing people who don’t like games playing it.
Gears of War is nothing compared to Rainbow Six: Vegas.
According to GameSpot standards, IMHO:
Gears of War = 8.5
RS:V = 9.6
Wii sports is perfect for a pack-in game.
Once again Time shows it knows nothing about games or the computer industry
