I couldn’t off hand say I’ve ever seen one, and yet It looks strangely familiar. I may have seen one when I was younger and can’t remember.

kinda reminds me of a blood worm, with the whole shooting tongue thing, but blood worms don’t use it to move, and they aren’t red and two inches long.

Yeah ha ha… Nemertea I dissected one of these in my Invertebrate Zoology classes. This one’s proboscis is pretty long O_o

I guess its a Nameretea. The part that shot out is for catching live food and was probably using to to “run” away when it thought it was being attacked.
