Walmart Sells Blank Disc Labeled “Redneck Sh*t” As Madden 09
- By Scott Johnson on January 26th, 2009When Michael’s son used his Christmas money to buy a copy of Madden 09 from Walmart, he thought he was buying a copy of Madden 09, not a blank disc that said “Redneck Sh*t.”
Well that kinda sucks. Does make you wonder what is REALLY on this disk though.

Dude! Your own headline says it’s blank, aka: it’s blank, nothing on there
I’m bummed that the kid had to go through that, but on a purely abstract level I think it’s hilarious
i hate people.
Oh, I’m glad we don’t have that store here! or rednecks for that matter ha.
A local walmart near me was selling ipod packages where someone had removed the ipod and re-applied the shrink wrap.
my son almost had this happen to him but i opened it @ the store and then hammers to get him a new one. i really hope this kid got a new game.
Isn’t that the subtitle of Madden ’09?
Considering that the packages can be easily opened with a razor blade, the product removed or substituted, and the package resealed with cheap cellophane tape, I don’t understand why the store doesn’t keep them locked in the glass-front case which every Wal-Mart has.
Well, seems like they gave him Nascar 09 by mistake.
is that not madden?
XD
This would be funny if it didn’t happen to an innocent child.
I thought that was the name of this years installment. “Madden `09: Redneck Sh*t”
“Capitalism rocking in the Free World!”
I figure. that if someone is working in the factory placing CDs into lil jewel-boxes for “sweat-shop wages,” than they are probably “making a lil extra on the side.”

It’s Madden. Seriously, who buys that crap. The boy would have been disappointed even if he had taken the real thing home. As Madden would say “that that that…. thats a touchdown”. Ah Walmart. The last bastion of bargain bin DVDs.
yeah, im an overnight electronics associate at wally world 4333. We get a lot of people come back to the store with a “ruined” disc or “misplaced” disc, and they come up to me wanting a new one. I tell them to go to customer service, cause i am not going down as the moron that fell for that crap. Especially when people try to burn a copy of a game and it gets ruined, then they expect us to believe “it came like that”. Unless the case is opened in front of me, i dont believe a word that is said.
That may of really happened and if it did, its sad. Get fooled enough times and you start to not believe crap a returning customer says…especially if they change the story a few times.
btw if any of the fanboys/girls wanna get twilight on dvd we’re getting it in on March 17th at midnight.
Street Fighter 4 February17 at midnight, that im personally buying, cause im the one that puts it out, yay!
Let’s get real here: This blank disk is only slightly lower quality than the typical Walmart product, what with the fact that they’ve forced all their suppliers overseas, where they make the cheapest, shoddy products imaginable. How many times have you purchased something at a Walmart that had obviously been reboxed and then you take it home and it becomes immediately obvious that it was a returned defective product they just put right back on the shelves?
aaaaaaand? you’ve pointed out the obvious i hate walmart…. the real defective stuff goes to the warehouse to get “refurbished” and then gets put back on the shelf, if they bought new stuff for each fixable problem they wouldnt make money. I sure as hell dont see any of our competitors maxin the money thats made.
hate us all you want, one day we’ll have it monopolized to where you have to shop at wal-marx.(yes i put a x instead of a t)
whats funny is that before we put store 4333 up, 40+% of the city “hated” walmart, yet they shop there. gotta love it.
Somebody stole the game, and returned what you see here.
.
Irresponsible store employee did not check the package close enough, and threw it back on the shelf to sell again.
.
The store sold it again.
.
This is the fault of one party alone: The store. Their responsibility was to know what they were taking back and reselling. They didn’t, and now have to eat the cost (which will be passed on to the rest of us, of course).
wrong butt, if the thief wouldve never been sneaky, the irresponsible store wouldve never had to neglect its duty. so the true fault is on the thief. true that the store didnt follow basic human common sense of checking it, but if the thief wouldve never did his act in the first place, we wouldnt be typing this right now.
