Remember the simple times before the Internet when gamers had to rely on their friends and the occasional monthly mag to update them on strange cheats and Easter eggs? Those were the days, back when you could spend nights trying to unlock Shen Long or revive Aeris only to realize you’d been duped.

back before they were called “easter eggs” and called “secrets” instead
those were the days… *sigh*
It’s a shame they’ve gotten ride of them, though they had a point: if you have time to add these things in, why not spend that time to improve the game, instead?
Still, I miss the likes of getting killed in Leisure Suit Larry and being dumped into the “underground Sierra repair shop” which showed you “what happens when you restart the game”.
@Pontus -AGREE!
Things on my “to-do-list” for Mario on the NES:
1. Finally Learn to get a gagillion lives with the turtle trick in world 3.
2. Play the game straight through without warping. (I always lose interest about world 7-2)
3. Jump the flagpole!
I love this list, but I wonder when I’m going to go to UGO and not think “Oh, the guys who chopped a buttload of 1up staff.”
But yeah, fun list indeed.
I looked on Wikipedia about polybius, and it seems to be largely plagiarized from there.
Oh, and I am guilty of blowing into my NES cartridge.
