Check it out. Nice little blurb in USA Today, found by eagle eyed fan, Clay. (Thanks, Dude!) Very nice of them to say the following:
A geek for every season
I love this poster, which divides geeks into 56 varieties. Can you figure out which one best describes you?
I’m a mixture of a bunch of them: TV, con, rock, comics. I’m surprised there’s not a “blog geek” on there — that would probably fit me the best.
UPDATE: Merlin Mann seems to like it too. ![]()

I bet the writer is reading your blog RIGHT NOW
Unless this is old news: the geeks poster was digged too, http://www.digg.com/design/The_56_Geeks_Poster_2
^ what is the deal with my text, lol
That’s cool Scott, I like to see your work get noticed outside the ELR circle.
Probably you know it, but your poster had been neatoramed
Very cool Scott. Always good to get recognized.
Very cool stuff!
Level famous reach: DING
Gratz
New abilities learned
* Adopt a 3rd world child
*Under the influence level 2
*Car accident
At level 10 he learns to train a pet – I vote that he trains Obsidian…because he’s kind of like a cat, good DPS, but if he needs a tank he should tame Brian as well.
OK, sorta off topic but Lifeisaglitch inspired me to this lil bit of stream of consciousness.
Gratz Scott
gratz scott…
maybe you can have your wiki article back now…
Congrats Scott, always nice to get some publicity – especially from a main stream media giant like USAT.
Well deserved.
Oh Scott – here’s the permalink to the story that mentions your poster -

Thus begins Scotts plans of world domination!
Thanks Binaryspiral. Fixed that link right up.
I wouldn’t be happy about eBaumsworld using your stuff. I may be missing it, but i dont see your website, your name, or a link to your store so they can purchase the poster.
Anyways, congrats on this.
And eBaumsworld also has..the most… Well I would like to say, the Most insane group of fans, because for every commit you see them leave for the 56 geeks poster, you loose ten IQ points… I swear to god I thought that the internet couldnt get dumber and Meaner.
ebaumsworld should be wiped off the face of the … internet? Anyway, Taintedglory is right. I now have to read some Chaucer or something to get my IQ back up.
Not to mention eBaumsWorld steals flash content, has used illegal spyware before, and Eric “The Cretin” Baumer gets paid millions upon millions of dollars on content that he certainly didn’t make.
…not to start a flame war or anything, just stating the facts so others don’t have to look them up (Okay, I’m not too sure his nickname is “The Cretin”, but it fits him well IM”H”O).
Uh… where’d we get this ebaumsworld stuff? I don’t see anything about ebaumsworld in the post.
The Update was a link to Ebaum’s world at first. I’m glad he pulled it, Scott’s FAR above Ebaum’s world.
your on laughingsquid.com today as well. very cool scott..
you were on laughingsquid.com today as well. very cool scott.
I just dropped a shameless plug into the Mythbusters General Topics forums. I hope your bandwidth can take the sudden interest 56 geeks.
Nice recognition, you deserve it.
I think the recognition is great, too bad that the guy neglected to mention the artist and where readers of that article can get the poster.
Very cool, Scott! National mainstream recognition!
DUDE!!! I am so happy for you Scott. Lets hope this is the beginning of great success for you!
Has WIRED mag blurbed about you?
its flickr thats getting most of the traffic
blakout: Which is not a bad thing, trust me.
Scott, the Replica Prop Forum (which I am a member at – of course) had a post up about you and the poster. I made some comments and told everyone they needed to come over to your site and buy one. Just a little positive plug for you!

Shameless plug in the Mythbusters forums.
OK… where is the poetry Geek… we are a completely different breed from the book geek.. because we believe we can actually write the stuff too lol… though it is usually a miserable failure. Basically were like hippies.. in every generation there are the beats, the hippies, etc etc. The non-conformists. Seriously maybe draw like an emo kid or something lol.
Man if you actually did the poetry geek.. dude I would buy you out of stock. Well, no I wouldn’t simply because I’m a poetry geek.. and were always broke lol. Too busy pouring our souls and epic wisdom on pages to work lol.
they also talk about it in one of the main french newspaper “Libération”
