UK firm to unveil wall-socket PC

Newcastle-based Jade Integration will launch one of the smallest thin-client computers available in the UK to date, the Jack PC, next month.

Now THAT is a thin client! (Thanks, Mark!)

    wow that’s cool, it’ll help businesses a lot, will it come to america….etc.

    but what happened to the subject about the “situation” with the other two comics?
    did you resolve it, and if so, how?

    That seems as a Remote Desktop Station, so it uses the network for connection to the “host”. it’s cool, becuse i could finally have a computer in every room, but it will be my computer all the time, just open the session and that’s all.. nice, but i don’t think is a “full” computer, just the interface

    No, it isn’t. That’s why it’s called a thin-client.

    Keep in mind though that thin-clients aren’t very good with graphics-rich applications, so playing video games or creating web-comics would be difficult.

    yea…but when you are at work all day, and you want to kill your boss for giving you other ppls work without pay…..hrr….it’s good to go to that world of games and have a few minutes of realxation…

    Using Ethernet of Power, this could really have some cool applications.
