We always end up finding bread in the house that has gone south…and we ALWAYS feed birds with it, namely ducks. I wonder how the bread feels about this? Wonder no longer.

When I was a kid my sister and I would visit our grandmother’s house and she would give us the end pieces to feed to the bird’s. No one else wanted them so the bird’s got ‘em. We called it birdy bread.

That was hilarious! Next time i’m going to feed the ducks I suppose I could have a moment of silence in the honor of the bread :D

Feeding bread to ducks is bad, you really shouldn’t do it. http://www.liveducks.com/bread.html

What about the actual ducks themselves? Surely they don’t want gone off bread lol?

Ayup. Birds shouldnt eat things like this, cause theyre stupid enough not to care. Most birds dont and cant get rid off the salt in their bodies which ends in severe trauma and death, painful death. So the best way to prevent is to stop people from feeding them with bread, chips and other stuff. Buy some grain its healthier for them.

We always take fresh bread to feed the ducks. I guess that is silly, but we are just too kind!

Actually, you shouldn’t throw away moldy bread. You can always cut the moldy part off and throw the good part into a sandwhich maker to make it soft and warm. It’s still good.

Living in a dorm rocks. You learn lots of stuff.

I’d hate to be the birds you feed Scott :P You see where I’m from, We’re not trying to kill off the birds lol.

how is being eaten by a duck worse than being eaten by a human? maybe we don’t peck at it.. but i bet its misery is shorter with a duck. they’re small and food is quicker getting to the stomach and digested, see.

Awesome comic I would love to see one with the bread being torn apart by ravenous ducks :)

Hey Scott, what happened to the collaboration project between you and Jawbone? It’s been around two weeks since you posted a new one … if I remember right.

the best thing to do is keep your bread in the fridge and itll last 2 times as long if not longer. Just when you want a sandwhich leave it sitting out for 10 minutes so it wont be a cold sandwhich.
