S+F Software is on the look out for talented pixel artists ready to jump into doing a commercial project for the Sega Dreamcast to be published by Goat Store, LLC. This is a paid project, but is based on units sold, so don’t give up your day job. The project is a real-time combat adventure game with an already well-established set of characters and world elements.
Sounds kinda fun to me! (Thanks Steve.)

Last year when I used to be a twelve year old Runescape junkie, lots of people, including me did pixel art in paint… I was good, but now I suck… My old friends would like this… That means I have to go on their myspace and link it to them… /cry
Purdy neat, though.
S+F Software are good people and I personally own their game Inhabitants for the Sega Dreamcast. I’m not just a pusher, I’m also a junkie.
I posted this little tidbit on http://www.pixeljoint.com (a community for pixel artists). Thanks for the tip!
What exatly is pixel art.. as opposed to normal computer-based art that appears on my screen in pixel form
i saw a really huge pixel art thing through stumbleupon once, it seemed to have quite a disticnt style to it, is that because it was pixel art or because it was done by a particular pixel artist?
i am asking quite basic questions about pixel art, does this make me sound like a fool?
For the… Dreamcast? I guess I completely missed that that systems was still alive… How many units could these guys realistically expect to push?
http://www.goatstore.com/ – a publisher heavily dedicated to new DC publications – very interesting.
