    Wait until after dark?

(Rediculous. I’ve been reading your site for months and this is my first comment? *sigh*)

  2. Dave

    Two words. Molotov. Cocktail.

  3. digisam

ring that number on the side :)

  4. Nite

Molotov Cocktail didn’t work well for American Chopper.

I would suggest smoke. Lots of smoke.

  5. Lifeisaglitch

umm you most likely wont get stung so…umm Nike it!
    (just do it)

  6. Lifeisaglitch

Or lay it on the side if the nest is that big…

  7. Wavilines

throw it in and run for your life.

  8. Robert E.

    Find another dumpster ;)

  9. mmom

I say do it. And have a camcorder running while you’re at it. It’ll be a blast. :)

  10. BrianD

Don a beekeeper’s outfit and then you can fire-bomb the nest or something that won’t call for the police and firefighters to show up.

Besides, it’s the waste disposal’s dumpster. Call the number on the side. As fun as it would be to napalm the nest…

  11. LostSoul

Couple cans of hairspray and a lighter. Turn that sucker into a big bee barbecue!

I hear they taste good roasted *shudders* I will, of course, take those whacko’s word of it.

  12. Kyle

    Be a man!

Or, seduce the queen and take control of the hive.

  13. wolfgang

    smoke them out

    Man up!

  16. eugaet

Urgh, just noticed how bad the quality of that YouTube video was I linked…try this one:

    http://www.maniacworld.com/hornets-vs-bees.htm

    Handful of hornets’ll do it.

  17. Colin

I’m just glad that others remember what i think is the funniest thing i’ve ever read about bees.

Scott i have some gas at my house I say we have us some fun…

  22. GoatTuber

    Unleash the attack bats?

  23. Mad_Gerbil

Since your in Utah you probably have the Africanized bee’s, which also can be know as Killer bees. If its a large nest, definitely stay away from it.

  24. Jeff S.

wear glasses.. bees and wasps go for the eyes…

  25. General Volkov (UK)

    1) dump and run
    2) get sum1 else to do it, bribes work
    3) ring the number?
    4) find another bin?
    5) leave ur stuff nxt to it

  26. Doctorsoul

Start smoking pipe, and you’ll be fine.
Or else, I would stack up my thrash for a couple of weeks..

  27. Darth_yoda (UK)

Scott… if you dress all white you are less likely to be stung as the colour white calms bees down.

I have also seen that if you mix a solution of sugar and water and use that to spray on any large clusters of bees this also makes them less likely to sting as in effect you are feeding them.

Also another way is to burn wood chippings and use the smoke to puff onto the bees and this sends them to sleep and is what bee keepers use.

  28. Lifeisaglitch

Hail Scott, slayer of the horned ones!!!

  29. BrianD

lol.. The video shows why you should do extensive recon before you go and try and tank a mob. Make sure there’s enough there and where their source is.

Another MMO lesson to be learned from life experience.

  30. HECTORtheTURTLE

Either hop in your fridge & nuke the thing, or use “taking out the trash” as a new punishment for the kids.

  31. Scott

That’s not my house…I work near there.

  32. marvin

My father did it with my flamethrower. It looked cool and it was probably fun, but the downside is that he didnt forsee that the house wall would get all black. Guess who has to repaint it. No its not my father.

  33. Flatlander

Scott’s girlish squeal and refusal to swear made my day.

  34. meh

No swearing? He’s like the Ned Flanders of ELR

  35. Bronco

    Nuke the site from orbit………

its the only way to be sure.

  36. Mike SLC

Send the guy who is most afraid of bees to go deal with the bee issue – that’s comedy gold!

  37. Bearbutt

If a bee stings me I will die.
So I’m glad I’m a couple states away… which really isn’t far enough.

  38. Mike SLC

Actually that blue dumpster reminds me of the blue dumpster that was used as a toilet at the shipyard overseas where my work sent me a couple weeks ago on field service. So, I dunno, maybe pee on the bees, that’ll get rid of ‘em!

  39. Flamov

    “OH SHITE!”

  40. Flabob

The first part (you talking to the camera) reminds me of me (im not trying to sound conceited) l0.0k anyway…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qldy2LBg_8Q
(turn your speakers down, there was something wrong with the sound levels that day…

  41. shaun d

Thought it was funny that you said you work in there. So, you work in a dumpster?

  42. Mark

Wow, just when I thought I was about to get a confidence booster when it comes to fear of bees…I still think I’m a bigger pansy than you are after watching that video.

    I hate me some bees.

  43. Thebutcher

lol two words used very close to the “S” word. Oh well we all hate bees anyway, i would attempt to fill a water ballon up with that there spray and just drop the bomb in.

  44. Tchvori

You should check to see if there is a local Bee-keeping store or association in your area. They usually keep a list of beekeepers that will come out and remove the hive for you. Collecting swarms is one of the ways that hobby beekeepers get more hives.

  45. Steve G

Those bee/wasp spray cans don’t have much in them. Usually only good for one good spray. I’m with you Scott, I CAN’T STAND THOSE STINGY THINGS!

  46. Chris

I saw “The Happening”. I know how this ends.

  47. zieglarf

Scott sez, “BTW, for those wondering, that is not my house. I work in there.”

In the dumpster! Webcomics ain’t paying to good these days…

srsly, You drive a pump truck?

  48. ScottyD

That was good stuff. Bee Safe.

  49. mercator

This year has been bad for wasps here too. Even the gutter downspouts have them this year. Luckily it rained quite a bit, so maybe they washed out. No less than 10 nests so far around my house, where 0-3 is normal.

    Wasps and dandelions. ARGH.

  50. Bomber X

Did you think about calling a A10 close air support ? It would deal with that nasty threat.
