wow-geek-blog

Just finished this one. Been working on it for a while. Two versions will be available on the store soon, one at 20×30 inches large, and the other print at 12×18 inches. I will post an update when that happens. Enjoy.

    Scott, I think you linked the wrong product for the 12×18 version. Just a heads up.

    I can’t say anything more than what’s already been said other than the obvious:
    WoW!

  9. Xilorith

    Who is Jaina Proudmoore and why do we want her heart :) Great job as usual.

  10. Hidasan

    *giggles* omg this is EPIC! you just need a female wow geek. Oh wait I forgot, girls don’t play on the internet :D

    That raid calendar looks a little light, or do the marked days indicated days without raids? ;)

    @Xilorith: If you weren’t kidding:
    *Jaina Proudmoore, character that figures prominently into Warcraft III, the earlier levels of World of Warcraft (directly for Alliance and indirectly for Horde) and the gate incident in Northrend of WoW’s latest exapnsion. (Possibly earlier Warcrafts, but my mind doesn’t go back that far any more.)
    */oom is an “emote” (typed text preceded by / that causes animation and sound of your character) lets everyone know that you’re Out Of Mana.
    *Raid: In WoW, you can have groups of 5 players maximum, but some dungeons expect up to 40 people. That would be 8 5-player groups. WoW labels such a grouping as a raid. As one might guess, organizing 40 people would require some amount of planning, hence the calendar. (The latest dungeons only go up to 25.)
    *Cards: World of Warcraft has a Collectable Card Game. On some cards, there is a code that can be used in the online game to get some vanity item.
    *Sword: Frostmourne (sword) is a key player since Warcraft III.
    *Figurine: Orc is depicted. Dunno if there’s anything special about that. (I stick with WoW only.)

    Oh… And Headset: Preferred when raiding (and often when PvPing). Easier to talk than type when large numbers of people are involved.

    One of my alts, Obvious (Captain Obvious that is) would tell you that this will be your top selling print of all time.

  17. Garfunkle

    I want that hat.

    That figure could be a nod to a company who make official figures of your character. I’m not sure on the name and how it works, however. Or a nod to the board game/new minatures range.
    Nice work Scott!

  19. Eric

    @Coldalarm: A collectable game (card/figurine) based on Scott’s Geeks? That’s brilliant! 8O
