This according to a pretty comprehensive list found right here. Tried many of these and agree on most accounts. There are some really fun games on this platform. (note: pro or anti apple arguments will be promptly deleted.)

I’m anti-apple. Oranges are much better.
While I think the list is probably good (I wouldn’t know, since I don’t have a iPod Touch/iPhone), I’m surprised there aren’t any free games on that list. Surely, there must be some free stuff on the App Store! Wouldn’t know if any of them are games…
Note to self:
1. Develop iPhone app.
2. Profit
I don’t quite agree with the list. Crash Nitro Kart is really bad and Warfare Inc. is just a port of an old-Palm game.
Dizzy Bee is really original but a bit hard to play and Fieldrunners is definitely my favorite of the bunch.
Also, there are newer and better games like WaclyLands Green and 1112:

Porke,
Everyone knows profit doesn’t come until step 3
I really was looking for a list like this, getting really tired of Minesweeper. Thanks!
Is it okay if I say that while I don’t like many Apple products, I think the iPhone is a revolution for phone technology interfaces and that I’m glad other companies are following suit? That’s neither pro or anti Apple.
…
I’m not sure how much I’d like to play a game on an iPhone though. Like the Wii, game developers would have to get much more used to the new interface before they start pushing out more compelling games. That said, I actually think the iPhone games are better than the most of the ones coming out for the Wii. Maybe it’s because developers have had years of experience for touch screen games for the DS.
…
Hopefully these are portable to other phones as well, like powerful enough Android phones. That would rock for everyone.
So I was looking back on extra life since I haven’t been following it for a while and OH how I missed you! ;_;
So first comment of more to come, I really like the work the crew puts into finding usefull information for us techno weenies. I recently got an iPhone and must admit I have been addicted to its podcasts, video functions, and I have not even begun to play with the games all that much, and this list is all the best!
Maybe next time you could share your ringtones, since this is still one of the best parts of owning a cell phone while being a technology geek. You have the ability to show your allegiance to your favorite movie, game or online radio podscast by having familiar words blurt out to the public. Nothing says incoming call like “Mi pipi es fuego”!
screw apple
screw Microsoft
screw Linux
screw you all
Screw me…
Please?…
I like Aurora Feint: The Beginning. It’s an awesome puzzler with an RPG aspect to it. You’re able to connect with friends and more. Best part is it’s free. It’s worth a try since, even if you absolutely hate it, you didn’t spend any money on it.
Other than that game, I too have Fieldrunners, and MotionXPoker. I’d recommend Solebon too, if you like playing solitaire as it’s cheep but has an amazing catalog of solitaire games.
Spore, was a waste of an App in my opinion.
That list is sorely missing JellyCar, that is one of the most fun things I’ve played in ages. Not to mention it’s free, can’t go wrong with that
I agree completely with Fieldrunners being #1.
But there are good ones that should have made the list, like Galcon or Aurora Feint.
