Man to be a redshirt on Star Trek back in the day, I bet its a badge of honer to tell people “Yeah I was one of the redshirt guys that died on the original Star Trek”. No one could beat that story at a party, unless it was someone that was killed by Dean Cain.

I think the Redshirts would win, they may have a high mortality but at least they have decent aim. The StormTroopers would never be able to hit any Red Shirts.
To put Rico’s comment into even better perspective, the Crew of the Enterprise was roughly 450 so just under 10% of the crew were killed.

Scotty was hardly ever on an away team, he was usually manning the Transporters.
