Wheres How I Met Your Mother??

  2. Icesnake

Just goes to prove that TV writers still don’t know – after more than 60 years – that there’s a lot more America *outside* of NYC than there is *inside* that scum-infested hellhole. Even Utah is better!

  3. Scott

    hey! :)

  4. Thekillercook

left out alot of them but yeah still pretty good map.

  5. Matt

    I like the word ‘enhugen’

  6. Rob Dalton

Further east of that is Everybody Loves Raymond.

Icesnake: Have you ever even visited NYC? Or are you just prejudiced because of what you see on TV and in the movies? Scum-infested hellhole, indeed.

  7. dman0001

@salty – on CBS not NBC

  8. dman0001

And alot of sitcoms are situated in NY because they have studios there and it would be practical to film there, instead of say , Boise Idaho, or Delaware.

    Availabilty of resources.

  9. Ben

I appear to live in Seinfeld and work at My Two Dads.

He has a sitcom USA map up now, though some of what he describes as sitcoms are not. (e.g. Twin Peaks? Seriously?)

  10. dman0001

sorry i thought ath was an NBC sitcom map my bad

  11. Colin

i thought welcome back Kotter was in Chicago or something….. guess i was wrong.

    I ♥
    NY

@icesnake, as cities go NY is better than most. It’s quite amazing, actually. No other city in the country has as much culture. If you were going to make a story set in a city there are few reasons to NOT use NY. No other city has its texture or richness, in the United States at least.

  14. Pyrratus

Agree with Salty, no love for HIMYM?

Actually that tee is not even remotely funny. Even with its obvious attempt at being in poor taste and offensive.

  17. Carsten

enhugen – what a perfectly cromulent word

  18. Peruchito

wasn’t punky brewster also in NYC?

  19. Novan Leon

NYC is both an amazing experience AND a hellhole, depending on which side of NYC your exposed to. Both comments are equally valid in my opinion.

I wish the map was a little more specific and included more sitcoms.

  20. Falcon

Sholto I have to disagree, I say Chicago trumps NY, though I admit hometown bias…. oh wait you said culture, not corruption. Well arlight I might challenge NY on that, but its close

  21. El Fnord

    > Actually that tee is not even remotely funny. Even with its obvious attempt at being in poor taste and offensive.

    Boo hoo.

  22. Novan Leon

Actually, El Fnord, dman is correct. That kind of humor is tasteless and offensive for most Americans, especially those with connections to the tragedy.

  23. Matt

I’m British, and find that completely tasteless and unncessary. And offensive to those involved/affected.

  24. El Fnord

Humor is a matter of opinion. If you don’t think it’s funny, that’s your problem.

  25. Tyler

    @saltybob that was my question!!

  26. NellBot

Is my mind in the gutter or does that map look phallic to anyone else?

  27. El Fnord

NellBot, I am highly offended by your reference to the male genitalia. You see, my ding-dong fell off about 7 years and 6 months ago. How dare you.

  28. Offlink

Wish I had this map when I was visiting Manhattan two days ago!

“Wheres How I Met Your Mother??”

    Srsly.

And I want one of those shirts, made me laugh.
