Nasa also has an video version of sunset as well as video of a twister etc. Not that Im a regular on their site or watch all major launches through their TV channel. (tiny tiny screws)
Looks kinda… dull… I mean it looks like a foggy morning.
Don’t get me wrong it’s VERY cool to see the sunset of Mars.
But it’s no planet I’d like to live on. *g*

That pic’s been out for several months. It’s still very cool. I even photoshopped another sun in and posted it on my forums back in December.
i don’t know, it’s just not as inspirational as a good sunset here on earth. i mean, i doubt that a poet or musician sitting on mars would have anything to write about …
Well TheGremlin, there are no clouds there.
But still facinating to see a sunset on a different planet. We’ve come such a long way from inventing the radio just over a century ago.

It looks eerie and beautiful. It’s jarring to see a vast expanse of land where there are no living things. Not only are the pictures beautiful, but what they represent is as well: that we’ve sent a robotic vehicle with a camera to another planet with the ability to be controlled remotely from Earth, explore said planet, and take and send back pictures. Holy shit.
