There is absolutely no question in my mind that I would pay whatever it cost to go see this movie on opening night.

Totally the most epic thing I’ve seen in a good while.

Epic beyond belief. I would totally watch this, and I got ten bucks the Federation would win.

I would watch this movie in a heart beat, though I fear the unrealistic Sci-Fantasy-ness of Star Wars would defeat the cool hand of Treknobable Science :(

Nerdgasm inbound…. ahhhhh there it is :P

Oh Q. What have you done THIS time?!

Brought a civilization from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away together with one 200+ years in the future together.

I just look forward to seeing John DeLancie again. :)

Cool! This is the best one I’ve seen yet.

Unlike Aliens vs. Predators, there was no graphic novel of this, so it’s a blank slate.

…unless you count the previous video works and the newsgroup arguments that probably contain the world’s longest thread.

There would be gang violence opening night. Storm Troopers vs. Red Shirts.

This “trailer” makes me ask this simple question:

The magical powers of the Force or the magical powers of technobable?

    Love it…
Normally this kind of thing I would flag to watch when I get home, but I just had to load it up and watch it here at work.

There was a long fanfiction series called TrekWars ages ago that dropped the Enterprise-D into the Star Wars universe. I only remember Picard talking to Q, who has appeared lying on a Chaise-lounge:
PICARD: “What the hell have you done now, Q?”
Q: “This isn’t entirely my fault, Jean-Luc. For one thing, this was meant to be an armchair and I’m supposed to be sitting in it.”

I’ll have to see if I can find it :)
Oh, and I wouldn’t have used footage from both JJTrek and TNG. The mix from TOS to TNG tech in the Trek bits is a tad jarring for an old hand like me. Still very cool though.

Love it! Nice mash up of stuff in there.

That was pretty awesome, but I’m sick of that whole debate. The two franchises have nothing in common and the only reason people compare them is because they both have Star in the title. How often do you see Babylon 5 vs Battlestar Galactica debates?

      B5 Definately…. Whitestars rock

honestly not the best mash up i’ve seen….there are very few moments where the two sides are interacting….good trailer mash ups mix the scenes so they seem to be referencing each other, or the same thing….could have been awesomer

You know what I find kind of funny? Everyone drools over a mash-up trailer of star wars vs star trek and swears they would go see it if it existed, but anyone even hints at working a star wars vs star trek fan fic and everyone (including myself) flames them off the internet. Kind of a double standard there.

@Carver: You reminded me of something else in a similar vein. Though it’s sadly no longer free (officially, anyway) I’d advise anyone who likes mash-ups, Star Trek, Babylon 5 and unbelievably terrible puns to look up ‘Star Wreck’. Insane brilliance mostly inspired by, and affectionately ruining, those two shows :)
