   I’ve been on the Doghouse Systems bandwagon, but due to personal circumstances, a Mac is currently the only way we can go right now. This cartoon makes me a little less sad about that.

   Really? Santa’s Bringing Win7? Then who gave them Vista for Christmas? Did Ballmer creep into their house and sneak it in?

   Windows “7″ is to Windows Vista what Windows 98 was to Windows 95. Windows Vista was geared for tablets. Windows “7″ is targeting multi-touch. I just hope they don’t completely do away with UAC. We get students complaining they can’t do something. Then, we go see what they were trying to do. Then, we tell them “It’s because you’re not supposed to be doing that on our machines.” Then, they go monopolize the Mac writing lab for their instant messaging and video chat programs while freeing up our workstations for people who need to do engineering homework like they were intended. I seriously hope we can continue to pester them about installing crap onto our workstations. Mac is not an option for us because… well… there aren’t any good engineering programs (and no geo-referencing engeering programs at all) for Macs. Multi-touch interfacing could be pretty cool with what we do. While Vista has been good for us, the hinted features of “7″ sound like they round out the product very well.

   Hmmm… looks like Santa threw Windows Vista on the fire and stepped back to see if he needed to throw Windows Seven there, too.

   Hmmm…looks like Santa has upgrade from giving bad kids lumps of coal to giving them Windows Vista/7
