Saw the episode Weds. Found these bits to be hilarious. The over arching canada strike thing is pretty funny too. But make sure you check out these bits. I feel some connection since Tron guy bought my drawing of him on Ebay.

Trey and Matt never cease to amaze me. This is one of my top favorite episodes.

Lewis Black’s “Root of All Evil” did YouTube vs. Internet Porn this week, too, and YouTube won, hands-down.
And I bought a pin for my hat from the Sand Diego Model Railroad Museum, celebrating the South Park Line.

It was a great episode, but there was a subtle message there as well, contained in the entire storyline. They were using the “strike” as Canada’s demand for more troops on the Afghanistan mission. Canada has been begging NATO for more troops, and NATO (represented by the Southpark kids running around gathering money) has been trying to find more troops from Europe. When the strike ended, Canada accepted a token of appreciation, which is what France eventually gave NATO for more troops. But it is a pittance, yet Canada celebrated like we had won. They were really poking fun at our crappy government.
I’m not one for South Park, but those made me lol. Laughing baby still gets me every time.
Wow, I usually don’t watch South Park (Too crude for my tastes), but That. Was. Brilliant.

I kept waiting for “The Evolution of Dance” guy to show up to whoop up on all of them.
I have always loved how they do canadians. Calling each other buddy and with the cut in half faces…freaking great stuff.

im not really complaining i just wish that they did more with what recognition they have.Anyway i loved the episode,being a fan of south park i didnt know how they were going to top last weeks “major boobage.” although the episode did have references to canadas involvement in afganistan,they mainly used the strike to attack the wga strike which was brilliant (World canadian bureau)
i think it was summed up at kyles speech in the end which goes to show you that sometimes in this crazy world a cartoon character can make much more sense than any well educated man could lol

While not a huge South Park fan, I really like it when they do awesome stuff like this or “Make love, not Warcraft”. The one for the Wii was funny as well except for… you probably know if you saw it.

@Fuzz, congrats… I think you read a whole new analogy into it than the intended one.
As far as I can see, it was a sendup of the writer’s strike – “we want more money, internet money” which it turned out not that many people really cared about beyond the fact that TV started to suck (Terrance and Phillip re-runs). Eventually they got a small compromise and claimed victory, but really didn’t win all that much.
Another clue being how the guy kept calling his dept. the WGA even though it’s name doesn’t have those intials.
The internet crowd were great though. Maybe could have done with some more recent memes, but hey, it was awesome as is so I’m not complaining
I was going for the Gopher to win. Mostly because It’s the only one I’ve ever seen. Poor Gopher
