Jedi

A very keen programmer has set themself a heavy weight task. To create a fully functional, and useful, application each day for a month. Dana Hanna, self proclaimed “software jedi”, is beginning the task this Friday and is currently excepting ideas for applications that could be created. The applications will be created in C#, using Microsoft’s .NET 2.0 framework. They’ll be available for all and will perhaps be open source, allowing for other eager programmers to modify to their self delight.

Alright, lets here your ideas. What would you all like to be seen made?

Wii to launch on Nov 19th for $250 bundled with Wii Sports…

Not the price point we were looking for, but what are you going to do?

  7. Scipion

    Eh?

heh, i like how he mentions this will destroy his social life on his site

somehow i think that a guy who calls himself a “software jedi” doesn’t have a social life

but then he has money and a job, so he beats me

Just remember Ant, money doesn’t keep you warm at night… now the high-priced lady-friends, they’ll keep you warm at night… tired in the morning too.

Sweet sweet money… what was I talking about?

something that makes microsoft products look less microsoft-y.. and work better.. and be customisable :P

oh wait, that already exists, its called open-source software

  12. Spelling Nazi

Sorry Scott, but it has to be done. It’s “accepting” not “excepting”. ;)

  13. Deacon

No no, you misunderstand, Nazi. Whe says “currently excepting ideas for applications” he means she’s throwing them out :D

  14. Ben

How aboy something that gives you the factors, multiples and prime factorization of what ever you type in?

  15. Will

Teh shamez! C# is the easiest programming language besides Visual Basic. But making an App a Day is pretty crazy. I expect he’ll run out of ideas though.

  16. Dana Hanna

BAH! I’m a third through, and I still have a ton of ideas. The only problem I have is that I don’t get to do MY ideas because the people in my chat room make me do THEIR ideas everynight. No kidding, check it out! http://www.anappaday.com
