Is it a portable Xbox? A iPod killer? A uber PDA? A penis enlargment device? I guess we will find out on the second of March. See the overly viral site here.

    Well, the life changing part and the penis enlargment device seem to work together.

    I doubt it wil be a portable Xbox, but it’ll definately be set out as an iPod killer. Doubt it’ll work, though.

    if it is anything like an xbox it’s huge, heavy, overpriced, overrated and under-populated with software at launch

    My prayers have been answered!
    I’ve been wanting an iPod killer ever since it first came out!

    Now to pray for the money to buy one… Crappit! Should’ve prayed for that first.

    small form-factor tablet pc running a full version of windows xp or vista. used to be called haiku i think. there are other groups who have been developing these devices, including one headed by a former microsoft exec, but none have been very successful. might work if they made it thinner and found a better way to interface than a stylus. i’d give it a 60% chance to succeed. like most things microsoft comes up with it looks like a good idea but probably won’t find a home-consumber based audience unless they can miraculously price it between one-hundred to five-hundred dollars. but with black berry’s legal troubles lately, this could be a boon to businesses and government organizations who have people working in the field. definately not designed to be an ipood killer.

    I’m trying to think of anything truly innovative to draw from that MS has brought to the world…

    …I got nothin’. :p

  13. Dellen

    @wonder6oy: a global standard OS.

    I’ve heard tablet PC either. I’d hope for a version of Windows CE, though.

    … and why no stylus?

    With laptops getting better, cheaper, lighter, etc. I really fail to see the market for these things. If you want small get a PDA. If you can handle bigger and need more power, get a good laptop. I don’t see a big market for in between those two devices.

    Dellen,

    That would be a wonder in marketing, absolutely – but not innovation.
