I think they made an update to the computer 1995 years ago, but it required more knobs to turn the same gears and additional gears were added for features that really didn’t do anything but make shiny things twinkle as the knobs were turned. The Music box feature was planned to be in the next update.. and would cost twice as much as before, since you could get the box in different colored pieces of metal….
And that, gentlemen, was created using nothing more than their brains, a ruler, and a whole lot of patience.. No fancy calculators or computers to figure out anything. That said, slap an extra dial on it and a pendulum, and you got one awesome clock.
How much of that was 2000 years old and how much of it was a 2008 interpretation of what might have been 2000 years old. I’d bet the Greeks would look at that thing and wonder what the heck it was. Based on the small number of parts from the shipwreck, a pretty high level of conjecture and speculation went into it.
That said, it is pretty cool, authentic in its replication or not.
Pretty crazy how advanced they were.
That is pretty amazing that he was able to piece it all together.
That truly is amazing. Makes one wonder how much other incredible science has been lost since the fall of Athens.
Can you run Crysis on that thing?
Yeah, that’s cool, but sadly, the Chimpanzee Riding on a Segway will probably have more views.
What?!? There’s a Chimpanzee Riding on a Segway? That’s breaking news! Stop the presses!

Imagine if the Ancient Greeks had not fallen, we could be exploring the stars now.
At first I thought it was a computer made in the year 2000. I was very lost watching that video for a while, but then it clicked =p
