  2. Jayyco

    SWEET!!!!!

  3. Scott

George: You must not watch Lost I take it. :)

  4. Darth_yoda (UK)

She also plays the character Juliette one of the ‘others’ in Lost.

  5. Darth_yoda (UK)

lol Scott we both posted at about the same time, i didn’t see your comment!

  6. Shawn Coons

I still remember that scene at the end of the 1st or 2nd episode of the mini-series where the guinea pig gets eaten.

    Still freaks me out!

  8. Brian Duff

Laura Vandervoot as one of the V Aliens… Apparently Supergirl isn’t coming back? lol

  9. Andrew

Guess Juliet IS really dead… dammit…

  10. John Jenkins

I stopped watching the first time around just after they had that Visitor/Human baby – I was really disappointed that they didn’t call it Lizzie.

  11. Mikko

nice… when is this coming? i’m from sydney, so i’ll be torrenting / seeding this ASAP from downunder

  12. JaFO

Of course it looks a heck of a lot better than the V-series did in the last century.
And it might be interesting even though the effects for the shuttles are already looking rather basic.

    Do they really have to re-imagine / re-invent every damned tv-series ?

    What’s next ?
Bionic Woman ? … *oops* they’ve done her.
    Knightrider ? … ah … that’s been done too.
    The A-team ? (wasn’t there a rumour about an A-team movie ?)
    MacGyver ?
    Airwolf ?
    Blue Thunder ?

But seriously … can we get a *new* Science Fiction series, please ?
Is the BBC the only one willing to risk new series like Torchwood (granted a spin-off of Doctor Who) and Ashes to Ashes ?

  13. Joshua S. Hill

Yeah, remakes are kinda the thing, and a little boring, but we are entering a time where there are generations who haven’t seen a lot of these shows. And there are aspects of “reinvisioning” going on as well so…

Oh what do I care, the trailer looked awesome!

  14. dman0001

That’s going to be good -and it has the hottie from Firefly and Stargate playing the “Diana” Role -

  15. D-OveRMinD

    To JaFO,

They have tried new stuff like The 4400 and Journeyman, both of which were the best shows on television…but they cut them off in their prime. I cried.

  16. D-OveRMinD

In fact, the preacher character in this trailer was a main character in the 4400 series named Baldwin.

  17. Jordan Klassen

This kinda reminds me of a stargate episode series where a different race of humans came to earth and helped people but eventually made the people sterile, wiping everybody else, in an alternate dimension. I really enjoyed that, so this looks sweet.

  18. mercator

is it a movie or a series?

  19. Kal Skirata

There needs to be a good Sci Fi (not sy fy) series / mini series on TV since Galactica went off the air. I hope this works :-) .

  20. Erich the Mad Bassist

Awesome! V is an old favorite—saw it in my teenage years, and own the DVDs of both mini-series. I even bought them again after they were lost to a burglary. This is where I know Robert Englund from, and found it amusing when he became Freddie the next year.

I like the look of this show. One thing is missing, though: the cool alien voices! That was one of the minor flaws in the forgettable series that came after the two minis, which I don’t own. I just can’t wait to see someone comment on how they ripped off Independence Day when the opposite is true. C’mon, you know it is!

I also find it curious the remake is on ABC – this was originally an NBC show, and was the most expensive to make in that era.

  21. Griss

i am not sure how i want to feel about this remake.

  22. JaFO

Journeyman ? Reading the wikipedia entry makes it sound like a re-imagined Quantum Leap.

Still .. there’s so little that almost any series will do.
And the new V does sound rather interesting, however I find that a premise like this will start to suck as seasons pass as it demands an ending that’ll change the universe forever. Besides … what will happen once the series is cancelled after one season ?

  23. Scott Fletcher

I remember “V” the first time around in 1983. Only 3 channels on our TV, and everyone was talking about it. It was a big deal.

  24. prion

this could be cool. i hope they actually have laser guns tho. I’ll be a little irritated if the aliens bust out with machine guns

by the way: the ending of V: the final battle was certifiably the stupidest ending of all time…it makes the whole miniseries not worth owning. So i am glad to see the concept redone.

  25. LaVaGoD

That was awesome. I watched this as a child and loved it. I think it might of what got me into SciFi

  26. Wicked

Is that Inara telling us to be calm? It is…..

  27. idogis1

    Seams pretty anti-religious . . . I’m in.

  28. Erich the Mad Bassist

@prion: I agree—the ending blew lizards, but I still love the two mini-series. Maybe it’s nostalgia, since it was the most talked about thing since “The Star Wars Movie.” The Day After had a similar stir later that year—fake and graphic newscasts of a nuclear disaster with disclaimers on the screen after each commercial break. I always wondered if some poor blind people panicked since they didn’t read the disclaimers aloud.

  29. Adam

    Earth: Final Conflict anyone?

  30. Erich the Mad Bassist

Hmm. The show could suffer from the fact that so many shows were inspired by the original.

  31. Zu

Looks too much like the 4400. In the cheesy way

  32. CaelenVasius

    I’m almost positive…years of watching Firefly can’t deceive me…

    Morena Baccarin?

“Squee!” would be imbound…if my gender was capable of one…

  33. Johnny

OMG, I totally just peed a little watching this. I worship the original V and I can’t wait to see it reimagined.

  34. Kristin - Manic Mommies

HOLY CRAP!!! I cannot wait for this remake.

  35. Jaramide

I cant find it on IMDB…Wierd.

  36. JaFO

    Indeed … we’ve already had a re-imagined V …
Earth:Final Conflict was definitely great except somewhere during season 2 it proved that a global conspiracy by ‘bad aliens’ pretending to be ‘good’ isn’t actually a fun concept for a series.
