Hahah, made me giggle a little on the reveal. It’s a very nice area you live about, Scott. Shame that one tree has to step out of line and ruin it for the rest.
Whoever designed that area and planted those trees there needs to be shot. That is terrible planning unless those trees will never grow larger than that size. They’re too close together, which means that they’re going to fight each other for sunlight, water, and nutrients if they grow larger. Second, they’re too close to the sidewalk and street; if those suckers grow big roots they’re going to move the sidewalk and create cracks in the road. Living in an older town in the midwest you find a lot of landscapers have made the same mistake, and people have actually had to reroute their sidewalk around 50 year old trees.

Global Warming at work… we’re all doomed. Or maybe it was Manbearpig…
Freaking nice looking place !
I will admit I also let out a massive snicker
Looks like there are a few more dead ones across the street as well.
there’s always one…..
mmmh – I wonder if this is the tree all the dogs pee on… That’d explain it…
ZOMBIE TREE XD
Did anybody else go straight to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” when that tree showed up?
Hey, Scott.
What do you use to encode your vids and are you using a WP plugin for playback?
American suburbia… so ugly!
the trees on the other side of the street are dead too. hmm…
@Tolwyn: Nothing. I just offloaded the video and posted it on Flickr, and then pasted in the Embed code into my post. No plugins or players.
Sometimes , one has to sacrifice themself so others can live.
@Jimm – I noticed that too… It’s Utah, so maybe there is an alkali bed there or some other funky underground deposit… The roots hit it and boom.
Hehe, nice reveal.
Anyway. Your seem to live in a nice if slightly sterile looking neighborhood. Maybe you should art it up a little
This really made me laugh.
I’ve seen this before… look for the house that gains a view with this tree removed and 9/10 you found someone with an empty gallon of “Roundup”.
See the clip is funny, even if I couldn’t hear it cos I’m in work.
But this makes me sad >

Funny video, and that’s a great looking expanse of a park.

Maybe you should check if someone put a copper nail into the tree’s. That sure will kill a tree.
