I didn’t take the time to read everything, but the jist I got out of it is that you have this jack thingy in your house which you can plug peripherals into, and it connects to a powerful computer (or system or something) that does the actual processing for you. Something like that. I could be off.
It’s a low-profile mini-computer that out-sources some processing to a server. You install it as a jack in the wall (like a power outlet) and you plug in a few peripherals. It would be great for business networks.
Hey, it’s even powered by just the network cable. It doesn’t need extra wiring.
Its a jack so you can run off a server without having to run off a desktop. My boss (the IT manager) is considering them instead of desktop comps because everything here in the office is run off of the servers anyways and then you dont have to worry about office workers putting something on there local desktop. It is a money saver in an office atmosphere.
