    so. very. real.

  2. Skwirel

Some kids are just that crazy sometimes, I know I was when I got a gift that I wanted that much =D

  3. Chuck

Could you imagine how he’d react if he got a 360!

  4. MikeC

I was waiting for him to rape it or something…

  5. Frank

Can’t wait for the moment when he throws the controller and breaks the TV screen…

  6. Matt

Yeah, it slips out of his hand and nails his TV. Or, if it has some fault and he never gets to play it…

    He’d die inside.

  7. Jason Stanley

I don’t know…personally it worries me when a kid gets THAT excited about a product. I always wonder what a person with that much excitement could possibly become when he’s/she’s older. Wow what a pessamistic ass I’ve become! I’ll go play on my 360 to cheer myself up YEAAHHHH!!

  8. elenawing

    @jason stanley

i agree, who wants to start a bet how many months he’s gonna be stuck infront of that television screen?

actually just had a thought, he’s lucky its not an empty box, otherwise i think we’d have a serial killer on our hands

  9. Uchihavino

That kid does not need any form of sugar. ever.

  10. NSMike

I miss the days when I could get that excited about something. *Anything.* Sigh. I’m not even 30 yet and getting older already sucks.

  11. _ex_

    scary…

  12. Negrin

Best thing about the vid? After it was done, the GameTrailers player recommended the trailer for Demon’s Soul. Most. Appropriate. Follow-up. Ever.

(Runner-up thing: the scary-ass ghoulish face the kid makes towards the end when the cameraman tells him to smile.)

  13. PurrNaK

NSMike, it just gets worse. I am 31. I won a wii for christmas through my work. People come up to me all the time and say “Hey how do you like your wii, I bet you never put it down.” The obvious wii jokes come to mind but I don’t say them (work environment and all) But I tell them the truth.. Plain and cold as it is. I say “I don’t play it. I think I used it twice since Nov. I took it over to my moms the day I got it and I never got to take it home. Oh well… Such is life.”

Okay, The honest truth. I left the wii at my mom’s because watching her play video games my whole life was painful. She would turn the contorller and lean into every move and that was just Dr. Mario. Now with the wii, you are supposed to do that so I left it there for her to enjoy. For me, I don’t really like the games. Wii sports bores me and I get more entertainment out of figuring out how to beat games without doing the stupid body movements. I bought 4 new games (mostly for my mom) and find them annoying to play. If I ever get the wii back it will be because I bought Zelda and then I’ll finish that and give it back to my mom. I’m going to go back to playing left for dead now… or maybe Blue Dragon for the xbox 360 (which is a console I also got for almost free)

If someone gave me a PS3 I “Might” get more excited. But for now it’s something do while the snow is outside and my car is hiding the from ice.

  14. joebudy

for a second i thought it was a screemer

  15. Scott Fletcher

Hahahah, PurrNak and NSMike!! I’m 39, and I’m mostly dead inside!! Weeeeee!!!!

  16. idogis1

I think that kid is possessed.

  17. Mike

What we don’t know is that inside the box is underwear and oranges.

  18. Aroinak

Whoa… no one should ever be that excited to get a Wii. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love my Wii, but my 360 is better, but even my 360 isn’t THAT exciting. Also, I’ll agree with Negrin. I thought that was hilarious, and the ghoul face is still scaring me just thinking about it…

  19. Brian Duff

His face screaming should be alot of people’s new avatars I bet…

  20. Venom

heyy.. i used to be like that when i was younger.. except that first shriek. I never did that.. thank god.

  21. Lazarus

That hurt my ears a bit.

  22. Adam

360 isn’t “better”, it’s different. You don’t play the same types of games on the two at all. If you want to talk “better”, PC is better than 360.

  23. Joonas

Sure, turn this comment section into a goddamn console-war.

  24. Churra

That wii-mote is going to be so sticky in the morning.

  25. Chris

I used to get excited about video games too. Right up until a few years ago. Then I hit my mid twenties, and I’m just not a gamer any more. Even though I want to be. I WANT to be excited about games like I used to be, in the way I’ve invested so much of my life, but now I just don’t care.

In fact, I’ve just thrown away (well, recycled) all of my original game boxes from the last 15 years. I didn’t even feel bad about it, I was just glad to be rid of all that useless cardboard (which I once treasured).

Others in this thread are right, getting old sucks.

  26. Gracity

    I would slap my kid.

  27. Steve

    HURRY!!!! CALL AN EXORCIST!!!!

  28. Seth

That was how I reacted when I opened the WoW battlechest on Christmas morning..

    Ahh the memories *sniffle*

  29. BlueNight

I love how his eyes just -widened- as it hit him, just before it fully sunk in.

  30. DannyBoy

I think I’d take it away after a reaction like that.

    Y’know, scar him a little.

  31. Solstar

    Somebody please shoot him!

  32. Trebblebase

damn i hope that things broken and they record that…

  33. Equipollent

Wow… It’s 6 or so in the morning and I think I just woke everyone in my house up.

  34. NeuroMan42

I never understood any of this. I loved my Atari and Colecovision but NEVER acted like that. Once there was that time I got my Cabbage Patch kid that I… nevermind.

  35. leafpicker

wow if he gets this exited about the wii. I hate to see what he does on his wedding night.

  36. Traitorfish

That’s, erm, that’s not really a healthy reaction, is it?

  37. Anari

@Scott Fletcher: I think you mean “Wiiiiiiii!”
Ah…. Opening up my new 1TB Hard drive (Why did they give me somthing that big? I have not a Clue.) Was the best gift ever!
MOAR SPACE FOR ME PRONZ! LOLOLOL.
More space to be like O and pirate Everything I See!
    LAND HO!

  38. Corey

My son had a similar reaction upon opening Super Smash Brothers brawl for Christmas. He even wrote Santa a thank you letter and we mailed it off promptly Christmas evening. Kids are the greatest.

  39. Punkrawk Bbob

    @Traitorfish

I’m with you. That can’t be healthy. For me or the kid. I think if that was my child I would either have to take it away or /facepunch him. – Maybe that’s a little harsh. Still, this reaction is wicked unhealthy IMO.

  40. mercator

39, and partially dead inside too. Ok… I do get excited for one thing, and yell and scream. But that just makes my wife not want to offer as often. Must… temper… excitement…

As for products, however, I did get pretty happy when the new front tires worked so well in the snow. The old, bald ones got me stuck half way out the driveway, which was embarrassing. Otherwise, not too often do I get excited over ‘stuff.’ May seem like a bad thing, but I think it is a good thing.

  41. Dunvasa

Holy hell. Give us a warning next time to turn down the volume. I think I blew one of my ear drums.

  42. Esta

    What next?

  43. chris

Back story goes the kid was told off camera that if Santa brings you a Wii you will, at some point in your life, get laid.

Sadly this video just ruled that possibility out for this kid.

  44. wowslump

If a kid started screaming like that next to ME I would sock him. But I just don’t like kids anyway.

  45. facepalm

This was probably staged, and no way does this dethrone N64 Kid.

  46. Jake

    I think it’s pretty sad.

  47. Sam Sam the Fireman

i know people like that. i wish their parents didnt even exist…

  48. Raingod

Is it wrong to say I acted that way when I lost my virginity?

  49. Masterwabbit

    õ_ō

    O_o

    ()_()

    >_<

    My ears…

  50. Adam

Nope Raingod that is the way most of us acted on the inside when we knew the deal was done.
