OH that is awesome (Also Winchester was in an episode of Frasier were he played a friend of his moms who he suspected was his biological dad. So thats spot on)
Hot lips needs to be older though
Also Radar needs to be played by someone geekier (And Ed Harris is way to creepy to be Potter)
Everybody else fits (MASH Iraq
)
Il try to find somebody an even better fit for hawkeye
How about Vince Vaughn
a few changes for me.
1. change Radar to Steve Zahn

2. change Major Frank Burns to Stellan SkarsgÄrd
http://blogg.lo.se/b2e/blogs/media/Stellan.jpg
3. change Capt. Trapper to Nick Chinlund

Luke Wilson much better fit for Hawkeye
Peruchito you da man
Also Sidney Freeman (psych) needs to be played by someone a tad more serious
How about Tony Shalhoub
Ryan Reynolds is too young to play Hunnicut. I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head as a replacement.
That might be true but look at hotlips
Haha found at perfect one
Meet Col Sherman Potter http://imdb.com/gallery/granitz/2150/Events/2150/JohnMahone_Grani_1534166_400.jpg.html?hint=nm0001498
I’m a child of this generation, but I still enjoy mash.
peruchito is totally right.
and hot lips cannot be played by dunst. Wasn’t Hot Lips a ww2 vet? She should be a tad older. Maybe someone in their early to late 40s?
You could argue the same about Edward Norton
Also Kelsey Grammar is Spot On
Nice work, really spot on.
where’s Dean Cain in all this?
also, Hotlips needs to be played by somebody a little more mature that kirtsen dunst.
for example Peta Wilson of La Femme Nikita fame: http://www.supermanhomepage.com/images/superman-returns1/peta-wilson.jpg
or even Ally Walker, of Profiler and NCIS fame: http://ifmagazine.com/graphics/Unsorted/ally_walker_niptuck.jpg
I don’t see half these actors actually FEELING right, though they may look similar to the original cast.
Very interesting. MASH is one of my favorite tv series, but the movie, and the book it was based upon are freaking classics.
If you havent read the original MASH book, do so. Its short, but funny as hell. (the movie is funny as hell too)
i can definitely get behind that cast
I think Viggo Mortensen would make a better Hawkeye.

that would be interesting…
how about johnny depp as klinger?
CASTING IS RITE ON
Isn’t Margret Choe’s last name spelled ‘Cho’
I’m with Turtlepants. The cast may be a good match visually, but a number of the characters are off. If you want to be true to the original, finding the right characters is paramount.
no, no. just no. i love mash and i have seen pretty much every episode of it, it’s one of my all time favorites but this does not feel right. i’m not entirely opposed to a new mash movie, but don’t try to remake what is already perfect. it’s a timeless masterpiece.
if they ever do decide to reuse the mash name, i’d rather see that they would come up with new characters. also, instead of setting it in iraq or any other silly war of the moment, set it in one that has already ended, like vietnam. just like the original was set in the korean war.
but i guess today it’d just be scrubs in the jungle…
besides, considering what happens in the series, wouldn’t all those characters on the screen at the same time be kind of impossible?
Bryan Cranston would make an awesome Frank Burns.
Thanks for all of the interest and comments, it was my friends and I that came up with the list. As many of you noticed some of the characters fit looks and personality wise and some were just too funny to resist like Philip Seymour Hoffman as Radar. Also to defend my pic of Kirsten Dunst as Hot Lips, I choose her because she lights up the screen, has similar eyes as the original and would play well opposite of Ron Livingston. Although Vince Vaughn is a really good pick for Hawkeye.
