
It looks as though even the legendary captain Kirk has his doubts about space travel. Willian Shatner has kindly turned down the offer presented to him by Richard Branson to be a passenger on Branson’s first voyage into space. Shatner claims he’s terrified at the idea of space travel, saying:
I’m interested in man’s march into the unknown but to vomit in space is not my idea of a good time. Neither is a fiery crash with the vomit hovering over me.
Richard Branson has been talking about public space travel for a years now, and it finally seems to be in a fit state. The project, titled Virgin Galactic’s Flights, will begin sometime in 2008. Anyone got their seat booked?
