I’m betting R2 was one of Arik Soong’s early testbeds to test all the cybernetic and posatronic advancements we’d later see in a invention created by one of his descendants – Data.
Meh. I believe R2-D2 could survive that! He’ll float around in space for a while, then eventually get picked up by another transport, and he’ll keep on going!
I wonder: Is ILM now going to require a hidden Star Wars reference in an effects sequence of any movie they work on? I would be saying “cool, if so” except for the fact that Lucas keeps trying to shove his Star Wars down people’s throats and it makes me wonder if that’s some kind of subliminal attempt to make people think his Star Wars is cooler than The Empire Strikes Back.
Rofl sweet.
Beep, boop! (Translation) HOLY $)@*!
