A quote:

If you start blaming the video games, you may as well demand video game control because it’s the same thing when you start trying to blame guns for this. You have here a sick individual, an evil individual who committed a random act. But if you want to start blaming the video games, this guy was this or that, weeeeell, then you’ve gotta maybe talk about banning them because that’s the same tack that’s taken with guns. You got one guy who used a gun that’s it. You’re falling prey to the same way the Drive-Bys propagandize, and that’s, “Well, we need gun control! We gotta get guns out of the hands of people.”

Guns are made for killing people you cant compare them to lakes or video games i mean seriously are you guys stoned???
Yes being able to protect yourself is important but by killing!?! (That’s what a gun does)

Now a lot of people are arguing that the murder of these 32 innocent students and teachers wouldn’t have happened if more people on campus had a gun..
That is true but i would argue that that would lead to a lot of drunken shootings and a whole lot more of them angry emo the world doesn’t get me the matrix was a cool movie type shootings. Yeah you cant blame the guns only the murderer but he couldn’t have killed 32 innocent people with his bare hands…

“I can see if you make guns lellgal it may make it harder for people to get guns”

Yep … that always works … why you can’t find Pot, cocaine or meth ANYWHERE in America since they were outlawed … No sir.

Hey, lets make murder illegal! That’ll surely stop people from killing each other!

I’m with Jackie Mason on this; “My position is that anybody who is in favor of gun control is a fucking moron.” (from his appearance on Penn & Beller’s BULLSHIT!)

And Scott … I’ve known you for a while … you agree with Rush a LOT more than you’d think.

  3. Lifeisaglitch

Zundfolge take at look at the murder rates by firearms in Europe compare to the US and i dare you to come with another dumbass excuse this is serious and tighter gun laws would save incredible amounts of innocent human lives

    Lifeisaglitch:

The US already has some stringent gun control laws (and they also do nothing, it’s a deterent, it does nothing to prevent it). Canada has next to none with a violent crime rate that is a fraction of the US (per capita). So your argument that tighter laws make violent crimes less likely is null a void. If somebody wants to kill someone, you don’t need a gun to do it. People were killing eachother VERY WELL for thousands of years, and in FAR MORE gruesome and disturbing forms.

No, the phrase “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is 100% spot on. Take away guns and you’ve still got a world FILLED to the brim with any number of on-the-spot weapons that can be used for the exact same function. What are you going to do then? Legislate and control everything else? The facists elitist pigs would just LOVE where that would go.

I have one thing to say do you think he could have killed 32 people without a gun…. Stricter gun control or making guns illegal is basically the solution (In my humble opinion)…

On another note its sorta hard for us (Europeans) Getting it, for most Americans owning a gun is a civil right on foot with liberty of speech, but alas here in Europe it doesn’t ad up that owning a machine that has one use and that is to kill is a civil right, it just seems incredibly weird crazy even… We do not view the right to defend yourself as having anything to do with guns… Of course there are Europeans that disagree what i have just written but i personally cant figure it out…

  6. Lifeisaglitch

@The US already has some stringent gun control laws

Oh yeah and on the whole strict gunlaws note… If you can buy a gun when you are over eighteen and do not have a criminal record..Its is still to easy i mean is any training even required…I mean you can buy full automatics for God sakes (And i dont even want to talk about whatn they are allowing in Florida)

    rappers do

    @Lifeisaglitch
the 2nd amendment is about protecting yourself from a government-level aggressor – when it was written it was about the british but it could equally apply to any government. The point is that the people who instituted the amendment knew about the dangers of democracy in that ‘we’re only ever a vote away from tyranny’. I love democracy but i’m not blinded by it.

Take a fly over the pond before you endorse guns aight guys…

    BUMP*
Besides what kind of authority or power does an officer of the law have when packing a handgun when everybody has a semi automatic or automatic rifle…

  10. VTS

@Lifeisaglitch: Where can you legally buy full automatics in the US without going through tremendous amounts of red tape to get a class three weapons license? To my knowledge, you can’t.

I discovered something stunning: There was violence before videogames, guns, and yes, even before Oprah.
Remember the crusades? 1000’s died. And still people are blaming that on guns and videogames.
    So sad.

    On a more serious note,
I understand the gunlaw in America. I understand many people want to protect themselves against sick individuals who have acces to guns anyway, law or no law. I know a guy in Rotterdam, who has two guns. He is a collector, not a user, but still he got a gun. If he went on a rampage, nobody could stop him untill he’s out of bullets.
I am against the gunlaw, however, for I believe many lives could be spared without it. But since I live in a country where we don’t have that law, and I have never been in the possession of a gun nor the situation where a gun would be very usefull, I won’t make a fuzz about it.

That videogames kill people, however, is insane. I realy don’t believe the guys who proagandize it realy believe it themselves, its just a way to further their own pollitical carreers YOU LOUSY HYPPOPOTAMUCRITS!
I think videogames is the oposite. If I want to kill somebody, I just shoot him on the net, or name a figure in Rollercoaster Tycoon marco, and throw him in the water. Very helpfull.
If there’s realy someone who gets ticked off by videogames, then it could also have been TV, pictures, Mc Donnalds, etc.
