Wow!
Just Wow!
Awesome, seen screenies from all them before.. didnt realise Hellgate was gonna be DX10 though
damnit scott, now i’ll need to buy another $500 video card.
Alan Wake looks so real…. it’s amazing
awe man EVE looks amazing … I wish that was a casual game
Do I HAVE to have Vista for that, as well?
Yes, you HAVE to have Vista.
PS3, Wii, Vista and oh yeah games to go with those. Calm down peeps, didn’t forget about 360. I already have one. What is a poor college student to do?
Holy crap!!
Well… looks like Microsoft just sold us all Vista…
Isn’t that a stupid approach?
Restricting your game to a certain OS, just to have better graphics? I mean, I understand that they are all using DirectX (Windows only) instead of OpenGL (any OS), since Windows is installed on about 99% of the systems, but is everyone going to switch to Vista because of a game?
“but is everyone going to switch to Vista because of a game?”
No we’re going to switch to Vista because of several games. It really bothers me though, as I normally wait for the first service pack before switching to a new OS, as I’m uncomfortable being online with a new operating system that will have more “back doors” than a porn site.
But obviously as an avid gamer, they’re erradicating all my choice in the matter.
all our games we play now (directx 9) will be 10-15% slower under vista because of aero!
meh… probably looks better in motion.
No upgrade.
I wont be dumping 2 gb of ram to vista just to be able to use some new textures and effects and only with using 4 gb extra more ram.
theres no way im gonna turn my life into a living hell because of all the DRM, “digital rights, copyright, protection and such” crap that is pushed into vista by pressure from RIAA, MPAA and others.
Time to start saving now for new hardware and for Vista. I have been waiting for All of those games but I am an avid EVE online player and Hellgate has been on my list since information first came out.
OMG, what awesome graphics… I wanna marry those graphics, and I want it NOW!
You people need a backbone. You grumble about MS being evil, yet let them spank you. Screw Vista. I’m not going to buy it. And if you want something to change, you won’t buy it either.

Well, after 2 Service Packs, XP still has more than enough security flaws. You can’t live without a bunch of security software after all…
If you want a more secure system, you’d better get some Linux-distro instead…
“all our games we play now (directx 9) will be 10-15% slower under vista because of aero!”
It’s true that you will need a large amount of RAM and some CPU-time for Vista without any games opened, but it’s not all Aero’s fault. While you can turn of Aero, Vista itself will still need a lot of RAM compared to XP.
“all our games we play now (directx 9) will be 10-15% slower under vista because of aero!”
If you don’t have the appropriate hardware, Vista won’t let you turn on Aero
“all our games we play now (directx 9) will be 10-15% slower under vista because of aero!”
Games run in fullscreen as single task apps. I fail to see how aero is going to kill your games. I can also remind you that aero can be used INGAME by developers to create rich user interfaces. That actually lightens the load
*GAWK*….. dang pretty
Vista blista made me twista! OK so I have tried 5 or 6 distros or Linux and found SUSE to be the most user friendly. I have to say now that I have dropped all of those and any hope of gaming on any Linux system for games that I WANT to play. Picked up a Mac and a 360. I have decided PC gaming costs too much damn money!
So there…..
