I saw this commercial this morning during the CBS Early Show. I was blown away. First off that it was a WoW / Dew commercial. Secondly, the time of day it was run.
Weird thing is, they’ve been selling those Mtn Dew WoW types for at least 3 weeks before that commercial came out. Oh, and the the Alliance one tastes like the winner of that big Dew competition from the winter, and the Horde one tastes like one of the losers. And why is that alliance shrub beating up a freaking Horde warrior with melee attacks? Druids cant deal crap for dmg with non-transformed melee’s. God, two years away from the game and im still defensive of the horde.
I’m pretty sure the Alliance flavor was one of the losers from that contest of three, since Voltage is still being sold, but I really don’t know because the only of those 3 I liked was the Strawberry. The Horde flavor is the same thing as the Halo 3 Game Fuel from back then.
I’m all about The Alliance, but that flavor sucks ;P, I do like the Horde one, though. And awesome commercial.
My god there are peopleon here flaming an advert because the character, the fictional made up characters, aren’t fighting properly, man some of you freaks need to get a lifem Its not real its a game! In fact its a commercial of a game!
That was awesome and all, but when they cross weapons, the horde chick’s sword lands partly on the alliance chick’s hand, not the actual staff, and the result is painful to look at. It REALLY bothers me. :/
This is product-lamo-gay-placement if I’d ever seen it. And the in game non-combat robot you have to fuel with “mountain dew” is just icing on that “Shove the product down our throat” commercialism cupcake.
that was kinda fail in general. especially the chick turning into a male orc. and it was totally unrealistic by any standards, be they reality, WoW, or whatever.
Why do people think it’s odd to see the girl turn into a male orc? Don’t they understand that is a big part of this game? Girls playing male characters and even more so, guys playing female characters. I think they were trying to make the point that you can role play and be what you want to be when playing WOW. Great commercial and well done!

The alliance kind is just awful tasting. I mean I play alliance and they really messed up the taste. Horde kind is very good.

most males have a female character. most females dont have a male character.
