We Canadians have the Daily Show Broadcast on our comedy network as well as CTV… Therefore they block a lot of the american internet TV feeds so that we will go to the Canadian networks’ sites and watch it there.
Another good example is that site NDC set up (Hulu?)… Since most of those shows are carried on other networks in Canada (even though most of us get NBC too) we aren’t allowed to watch those shows on the american websites. I think the broadcast schedule has something to do with it as well.
I would recommend people outside of the US to try out Hotspot Shield (top hit on Google).
No guarantees on the connection stability, I find it depends on time of day and can vary from night to night, it may depend on your own connection as well. Sometimes, I found disconnecting and reconnecting to provide you with a new and more stable proxy address.
However, that said, it works like a charm for me on hulu.com, and I have been able to see seasons 1 of both Firefly and the Sarah Connor Chronicles, as well as the Daily Show, while living in Canada.
Unfortunately since I’m in Canada I can’t watch this
son of a mother humper. sometimes i hate being canadian. but most of the time, i prefer it.
anyway, can’t watch em, gonna have to ‘get’ them from another source
Hmmm….I could get them here in Hong Kong. What’s up with Canada? Big firewall there?
Anyway, funny stuff.
I can get the video but with zero sound
