That is the first action figure commercial in a long time that made me feel like I did back when I was a kid. You could have easily replaced Star Trek with Star Wars or GI Joe and it would have been just like the old days. It really made me want to buy the toys and I’m not even that big of a Star Trek fan!
The funny thing about the transporter is that Gene Roddenberry wanted to do the shuttle-landing sequence, but the miniatures SFX were too expensive to shoot, so they came up with the transporter as a cheaper solution.
Owww… my wallet hurts.

Is that really how the transporter works in the movies? A floating plastic tube with lights? I want my $20 dollars back!!!! Lol.

“Beam Capt. Kirk down to surface, then… beam him back up again!”
Holy crap, the excitement and adventure! Woohoo!
Icesnake: There was that, but also taking a shuttle everywhere slowed the story down too much.
kinda brings a little bit of sick into my mouth
nothing new i suppose, just a hell of a lot of pester power from kids who’s folks won’t be able to afford them.
the piece of the bridge per figure…… man what a money grab.
