I love the guy! He really livened up the red carpet ceremony. Everyone is so stiff and phoney, everything feels so tightly scripted and controlled…. and then Busey comes out and destroys that tiring atmosphere in a truly beautiful way.
Gary Busey is always great to see. By coincidence, I rented The Gumball Rally a couple weeks ago. That’s one of the few movies I saw twice in the theater when I was a kid. I miss being able to do that. (Don’t blame the theaters—much of their profit comes from food, not tickets: much like selling gas. The old way brought more snack sales.)
He’s not trolling, he’s really out there. I was at a co-worker’s party after wrapping a project and he happened to live in Busey’s neighborhood up in the hills of Griffith Park. Busey decided to crash with his Sopranos looking bodyguard/friend and did nothing but hang out in front of the bathroom all night, or I should say, the line of girls waiting to use the one bathroom all night. I heard he was very looney and very “grabby”, lol.

Ah! Thanks for reminding me about Gumball Rally! I haven’t seen that in years and it’s on iTunes! I’ll watch it tonight.
