“Good news,” indeed: The resurrection of “Futurama” gave Comedy Central some stellar numbers.

The adventures of Fry & Friends drew 2.9 million viewers and ranked as Thursday’s most-watched show among young men; also rating as the network’s highest-rated night so far this year among the same demo.

In fact, this was most-watched season premiere ever for an animated show on cable — if you don’t include “South Park.”

Check it. Good news indeed.

I love this show thank goodness! Seem like this rarely happens to shows I love.

    Scores so far:
Rebirth: 7/10 mostly just due to the fact that I love that it’s back.
In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela: 4/10 I really don’t get this one at all.
Attack of the Killer App: 8/10 Perhaps 1 too many barf jokes, but this proved to me the show is back in full swing.

P.S. Feel stupid FOX? you should.

Hmm, glad to hear it picks up – the first episode was disappointing, which has soured me to the idea of watching anymore. On this evidence though, I think I’ll risk it!

BEST EVER!! As long as you don’t include this other thing over here that’s in the same category that was better than that.

Now comedy central needs to pick up Deadwood and Firefly. I don’t care if they’re not comedies.

Good News, everyone! You’re reading this in the Professor’s voice. :-P I still have yet to watch the new episodes of Futurama.
@Mr Explody – they’re not comedy enough for the Central of Comedy… Maybe if they made an alternate channel… Comedy Offshoot Channel or something for the quirky comedy stuff.

So pumped about the new season, and i have to agree ENTIRELY with Drambles’ numbers…i HATED that second episode but the eyephone episode was BRILLIANT. So pumped to see the show in full swing again. Never forget that dark dark day that those idiots at Fox dropped it!

Futurama’s back…huzzah. It’s not on in the UK…boo. So far Fox have no plans to show it over here…double boo and there is no way for me to buy it on iTunes or any other site….boo and bugger. Come on Fox (and all other media outlets) don’t treat the rest of the world like they don’t exist. The interwebs are already full of streams of it just give me a legal site so i can pay a few quid and watch. Rule No. 1 of buisness..make it easy for people to give you money!
