Jonas Brothers in 3d is one of the hottest of 2009? Wow the recession hit harder than anyone imagined. That, or bubble gum teen girl movies are bigger than ever, which means… the end of the world is nigh!

I’m looking forward to Public Enemies, Wolverine, and Watchmen… but Where the Wild Things Are? I hope it doesn’t destroy my childhood. I’m scared.

Ugh, huge spoilers in the Half-Blood prince writeup they did there. Fervently hoping Watchmen comes out. Up looks good, considering it *is* Pixar after all. As for the Jonas Brothers Movie… I’m packing food in the fallout shelter.

@leafpicker – I don’t think people will be expecting much from Star Trek until closer to the release if at all because its Star Trek.

Are you kidding me? JONAS BROTHERS: THE 3D CONCERT EXPERIENCE ?!
But I’m most excited (from the list) for Wolverine, Public Enemies, Watchmen and maybe Terminator.
But where are The Soloist, Sherlock Holmes, Splice or The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus?

That list is a piece of poo-doo! I really do hate lists like this sometimes. About four movies on that list I’m very excited for – but they obviously neglected the one out on May 8th that has me the most pumped.

Terminator, Up, Wolverine and The Year One got my interrest. And maybe Harry Potter.
Land of the Lost also got me interrested, but only because it has dino’s in it (I’m a real sucker for that).

The rest ? Meh (Jonas Brothers ? BLEH) . Watchmen I will keep a close eye on it, but I’m not really excited about it.

PUBLIC ENEMIES was filmed about 45 minutes from where i live. To busy this summer to get over to Columbus to see any of the shooting, but my auto mechanic had a couple of the cars in his shop that where used in the movie.

If Fox stops the release of Watchmen, I am boycotting Wolverine.

It’s Entertainment Weekly. By scanning over their past articles, one may get the feeling that they believe they can tell the public what to think. As with any so-called “news” source, don’t leave them as your only source and take the information as one of many interpretations. (I like to play on the fact that the website is “EW!”) :)
One thing to remember is that the list is just “first looks”. The way it is presented seems like they are saying “these are the shiznits of the year”, but they’re not. It doesn’t help that it goes right into a “must see” article without warning when you go past the 21st page, but there it is. Spin is the business of the media. They won’t hold themselves responsible for what they lead the readers to believe when they didn’t actually say it. It’s buyer beware.
All-in-all, this shouldn’t be discounted completely. It has info, and because it’s incomplete and slanted, it’s merely a starting place to let people know a little bit about what’s out there. If one keeps in mind that there’s always more to the story (and there always is), they’ll know to go hunting for other information to get a better view of what’s going on for the 2009 movie year.
