Despite rumors to the contrary, it looks like Christopher Nolan may now indeed be signed to direct a sequel to The Dark Knight. The newest edition of Production Weekly went out this morning, and they list Nolan as the official director of Batman 3, along with Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman in the cast.
Of course he’d directing. Gotta do three, right?

Would it have killed them to announce the villian.
I wonder how much money they threw at Nolan. As good as The Dark Knight was, they better have given him a dump truck full of cash.

…not like a Batman 3 was inevitable or anything.
The Riddler is the more than likely suspect to be the next villian. With maybe a sidestory with Catwoman or Zatanna … or even Talia?
Any one of those women would be a good choice, maybe even get a chance for them to ruin it by going the route that Marvel is doing with The Avengers by putting in some JLA sprinkles into the story?

For a moment I read that as Gary Coleman in the cast.
