whopper-bar

To be clear, the Whopper Bar won’t actually be serving alcohol — but it will be serving plenty of beef. The Burger King venture will offer Whoppers, Double Whoppers, and Steakhouse XT burgers, along with new Bourbon Whoppers, Three-Cheese Steakhouse XT burgers, and Pepper Bacon Steakhouse XT burgers. Each will come with options for 22 different toppings. Among the choices: guacamole, smoked bacon, or steak sauce.

Weird stuff if you ask me.

I suppose this is to counter McDonald’s new “Java/Coffee House” setting. One goes with coffee look, the other the beer look.

Oh good! Something else I can wait 30 minutes on! There isn’t a fast food joint in town that can even serve up a regular burger with some fries in less than 5 minutes, I can’t wait to see it.

Sorry, this makes me really excited. There is nothing I like better than burgers….’cept more burgers. It’d be perfect if they also served beer.

    Subway meets Burger King?! Niiiiice.

“…serving plenty of beef.” That could be funnier if you tried! Someone’s giggling that that one got through. XD

Yes, but will it actually have a meat product made with…uhm…actually meat? *shudders at the notion of what “burgers” are made with these days*

  7. Edge

This looks interesting to me. I would at least try once.

Looks like they’re going for the Deli counter feel, like at subway or somesuch. Makes it feel like more “love” is put into it, instead of the food just magically appearing from behind the counter. Also reinforces the whole “Have it your way” mantra.

Can’t really understand why people go to BK, McD or any of the other crappy chains when there are quite a few real burger joints around. You know the kind that actually cooks the burger for real and don’t just assemble the pieces and reheats them.

I worked at Burger King and McDonalds. I haven’t eaten at Burger King since I worked there (11 years ago). I still eat at McDonalds every now and then. This probobly won’t change my eating habbits.

WOW! It will be like going to burger king, except in BAR FORM!

Sorry to be the proverbial archetype of the negative nancy, but hardened arteries are still hardened arteries, even if you get them in style. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it, sue me.

never in my life would I ever go there :/ lol burgerking is gross

hmmm… seems more like a marketing attempt to compete with Carl’s Jr. Considering the demographic that it looks like Burger King is shooting for, they’re edging awfully close.

    Still weird tho.

    bourbon whopper?

    Isn’t bourbon alcohol?

  15. prion

i think alcohol just boils off when u cook it

  16. Marsh

Harvey’s in Canada already does this.

  17. Jaramide

Given the franchise I don’t think alcohol is ever involved in their bourbon whopper. Synthesized bourbon aroma would probably not be too far off from the truth.

A bar with no beer?! Sounds like a trick to me…

This sounds EXACTLY like Fatburger to me. Maybe a little bit limited on the available toppings, but that’s about it.

so you can buy a beer at burger king? AWESOME!

Topping schmopping – give me my sweet sweet In N’ Out burger over this anyday.
