Had the lid on this one for a while. Been working on scripts, music, voice actors, etc etc. But it is finally time to announce a project I’ve wanted to do for a VERY long time now. “Heroes for You” will be a 12 episode season, starting in the fall, and will run for 12 straight weeks. Future seasons will depend on how it all does. But I am really excited to bring this radio comedy to podcast listeners everywhere. Even if no one likes it, I am doing this because I love this stuff, and I love working with Brian on this kind of stuff.

Sorry scott, love the comics, blog, podcasts, discussions and everything else, but I do skip through the skits on ELR and The Instance. But hey, each to their own, good luck with it, sounds like a fun project. Oh and all I can think about with that music is The Apprentice as that is the theme for the UK version.
I think I heard ding pong surface briefly somewhere in there.
First, I LOVE Brian’s insidious giggle. Hilarious.
Second, I’m really excited about a real radio show, Scott. After listening to the 2007 Dirk Gently radio shows (Douglas Adams), I’m really interested in seeing what you do with the show.

Never mind the trollers Scott. This is a brilliant idea! Whether it’s successful or not this is something I myself love listening to. I found some internet radio stations that play old audio shows and I think it’s about time for a revival in the medium. We all can’t be sitting in front of a screen all day so I’m looking forward to yet another way of being entertained by you and yours on the go. Good luck with the project!

A bit harsh, I gave my support for it and my praise for Scott’s other projects, was just giving my personal feedback that I prefer the general banter which I find amusing and entertaining rather than the skits. Oh well.

Scott, I for one cannot wait until you start releasing this. I have listened to the trailer several times now and I get more interested each time. This makes me want to go back and listen to the Star Wars Radio Drama. Too bad we have to wait until this fall… why can’t it be ready right now!

Oh man, this is going to be awesome. I’ve always enjoyed the skits on ELR, as well as on a couple other shows that I listen to frequently, so this should be just my cup of tea.
I remember that old skit we did back on ELR with superheroes.
I prefer the unscripted ELR stuff – but I still will give the new skit show a chance though.
After all these years ( I’ve been a listener for years now…) your production skills have long reached professional status. Congrats on that and keep on geeking

I can’t wait for this! How long will the shows be? 10 minutes each? 10 minutes seems like a good length. Just remember, if you ever need extra people, I’m sure the EL community would be happy to help

For anyone saying old radio shows don’t exist- Prairie Home Companion (while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea) does feature sketches every show, such as Guy Noir etc…
