It was a simple idea, executed wonderfully, that didn't need 300 special effects per minute to be entertaining.That and pretty much any old Godzilla movie. Giant rubber monsters destroying cities and pummeling each other with flying elbows and drop-kicks is just all-around awesome. The Thing (John Carpenter, 1982)
