as a chink myself (well half chink, but still), i find this frikkin hilarious. for those who aint chinks and getting offended on our behalf, don’t bother. use the effort to adopt the millions of chink babies living in chink orphanages coz they’re born as girls or whatever and abandoned.

I don’t think we can tell the difference between “mocking racial stereotypes” and “being racist.” Mind you, I don’t think Scott is a racist, but this post sure is. It is the textbook definition of racism, and no kind of disclaimer can change that.
I listened to it because I expected better–apparently I was mistaken. Disappointment and dismay are the words of the day.
As said above, you should have skipped if you feel you may have been offended.

You know not the history of Ding Pong.
To know that is to know the humor.
My friend from Japan is always making the most racist statements about the Japanese… Example… if it is cold out people will say its Nippy out. He corrects them and says it is Jappy Out. With him I have learned being PC is a waste of time if you don’t mean it to be mean in the first place. You can’t please all the people all the time.
I suppose it’s beating a dead horse at this point, but it was a foundational moment for me when I realized that self-identification is not a free pass for stereotypes. Most of my friends growing up were jewish, and they made fun of themselves and each other for being Jewish all the time. I moved, and now the friends I have who are Jewish would think that sort of behavior was deeply anti-semetic.
Also, it is my belief that a misguided idea is a misguided idea, no matter how long it has been around. I appreciate your insight and advice, though.

I liked it. Falls off a bit during the song, but the first part was great.
I wish there was some stereotype against white people that I could use to make fun of myself. Unfortunately, the only white stereotype I know of is that we are all racist, and that just isn’t very funny.
