WANTING

“WANTING” is a 5 day improv comic project created by Scott Johnson and Len Peralta. 5 business days, complete improvisational response from the next artist, alternating panels…you get the drift. Enjoy!

Haha i love this! cant wait :D

  2. Iceflow

I love this idea! I love the art of both artists so I’m excited for this. Maybe this can be extended out to other artists as well. Will this print be for sale afterwards?

  3. Orro

Sounds interesting, can’t wait to see where this goes.

  4. DarkAnders

This is an awesome idea! Excited to see the results.

  5. Rezlow

    I love lamp! I love… lamp.

  6. Darrell

I love how the style changes frame to frame. It’s awesome – like James Cameron & Ridley Scott went off and created every other scene of the same movie without any collaboration with the other.

Admit it. If they did that it would be supremely awesome!

  7. Darrell

I know what I’d draw next (frame 3). Let’s see what happens! (waits with great anticipation)

  8. DarkAnders

This is awesome! Love frame 3, can’t wait for frame 4.

  9. Darrell

Oops. Meant to say my idea was for frame 4, not 3.

  10. Orror

totally did not expect that panel.

Just as long as this doesn’t end up as being a glorified fart joke like the Fertastico was.

I kid. I loved the Fertastico, and I look forward to seeing how this ends up.

Why did I just now get that the guy in the last frame is in the box /sigh. He looks so different form the other two guys. I thought the last frame was a guy reaching through a tv or a window. I fail so much.

I also think both Scott and Len are drawing the craziest things they can think of just to trip up the other artist.

  13. Shawn Coons

I’m confused. Is it one guy in one box or two guys in two different boxes?

    • Liraco

Really? It’s the same guy, it’s a short “5 panel” comic and it’ll be over next update. Perhaps the change in style is confusing but remember it’s two alternating artists.

Can’t wait to see how it’s wrapped up!

Great to see this idea back again! Awesome so far!

I’d love to see a four way cooperative effort between Scott, Obsidian, Len and Brian. :-)

  15. Darrell

That was goofy & fun. It didn’t go where I was thinking. :)

    • Scott Johnson

Where did you see it going in the final frame? Just curious.

      • Satyr607

        Loop-the-loop

      • Liraco

        Outer space! Or whatever…

Great ending, so weird, but also funny. I started a similar idea with a friend who’s been in a bit of an art slump, hopefully the crazyness of this kind of colab will help! Keep up these cool ideas. :D

It wasn’t funny. But I liked it a lot. Is this the first example of surrealism in the medium of Comic ?

  17. JustOneDave

It didn’t need to be funny. I loved it.

  18. Scott Johnson

Was never meant to be funny. Just odd. I think we did that. :)

    • DoggySpew

I find it odd AND funny.

      A true WTF toon.

  19. Wobbel

Back in the day I loved to fold some paper and then one would draw the head and one the torso and one the legs but without knowing what the other drew. Ofcourse I was always the one drawing an insect head or octopus arms and butterflywings and so on XD
This kinda reminds me of that :)

    you have just entered…

    the scary door
