Great Mini-Cast… why don’t you confess about your WOW addiction. ;)

Am I the only one just a little sceptical about the xbox 360 date, i mean come on, 120 something days?! Lol, it is quite amusing though, its not exactly the “home entertainment revolution” that was promised after the xbox. Which leaves me asking, when are we going to see truly amazing technology in our homes?

Great cast, and as an avid DDR gamer, good to see it getting a mention (not all gamers sit in dark rooms All the time)

From what I have read circulation on the web… the new Xbox is just like when was rumored about it. That it is really just Xbox 1.5, just some upgrades but NOT a major difference from the original. Doesn’t phase me as I will not buy one. In my mind it is basically a dumbed down PC… I already has a PC that puts the Xbox in the dirt in all aspects, and from what I have seen and read puts the Xbox 360 to shame too.

I have a funny feeling that Microsoft is rushing it, and I think it is gonna hurt them in the long run. I could be wrong, who knows. :)

Well, I thought I would vote for your little show on this Podcast Alley thingy or what’s-its-name. You did have a link to that site before, what happened to it? If you want a vote, please make it easy to vote. : )

And oh, regarding this Hot Coffee thing in GTA that you mentioned. I haven’t heard anything about it before, so I “investigated” a tad. Apparently you can unlock that thing in the PS2 version with NTSC ARMAX codes (www.gta-sanandreas.com), which doesn’t mean anything at all to me. I know what NTSC is, but that’s about it. And besides, we use PAL over here in Europe. I’ve never been a Playstation 1/2 owner either.

But hey, it seems like you can unlock it on every game, if you know how to fool around with NTSC ARMAX codes.

And well, my point is: Rockstar North’s defense is far from solid.

I read some more about this on http://www.sanandreas.net (I just keep on rambling, sorry):

“In other Hot Coffee related news, the whole intraweb is abuzz at the revelation of ARMax codes which unlock the scenes on the PS2 version. Word on the e-street is that this means Rockstar was caught in a lie.
Well, if you review what they said, it was basically that the scenes are not in the game, which they are not with a copy of the game right out of the box.

They also said the scenes were “the work of a determined group of hackers” and “cannot be created without intentional and significant technical modifications and reverse-engineering of the game’s source code”, which is also true. Even with years of experience modding the GTA3D engine, and extensive knowledge of the file formats contained therein, it still took a lot of effort to get Hot Coffee working in-game. If anything, Rockstar just talked in a big legal-speak circle of plausible deniability.”

I hope you don’t mind me posting such a long quote. If you do, let me know and I’ll constrain myself. Heh.
