A long show, and worth every second. :) TONS of listener calls, and some gems in them thar hills! We give some lip service to the finest film endings of all time, sort of, and go off on a long Knight Rider rant. Which was rather unexpected. At any rate, fun to be had by all, so get to gettin’!

Scott, i sent you the RIGHT mashup… *kicks himself*

  4. Rico

I can see I must dig into my bag of trivia questions for next week’s stump Andrew. Everyone’s gone too easy on you.

  5. Mr. Roboto

I think the truck on Knight Rider was called Goliath or something like that.

  6. Scott

    i think yer right.

  7. somecartoonist

    That’s IT!! Goliath!!

  8. Rico

Oh and I should of also said Andrew that you got the actor wrong who did the voice for K.I.T.T. The actor that did the voice is named William Daniels (was also on St. Elsewhere), not Higgins from Magnum. Higgins was played by John Hillerman.

  9. Scott

    I knew it!!! :)

  10. gogol13

Scott, K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. were not Cameroes, they were Trans-Ams.

  11. Scott

Thats what I meant. Of course. ;)

  12. Kevin

To expand on Rico’s comment, yes KITT was played by William Daniels whom I remember most fondly as Mr Feeney on Boy Meets World.
Andrew was right about Peter Cullen doing the voice of KARR, Optimus Prime and Eeyore. It looks like he’s not slated for the 2007 Transformers movie, though…

  13. Vesty

I doubt it is the best ending of all time but the ending to Empire Strikes Back was a big shocker

  14. Scott

Well said….forgot about any sw stuff

  15. Mr. Roboto

There was a white K.I.T.T. wich was also a pansy.

  16. Scott

    there was???????

  17. Mr. Roboto

yeah he was destroyed and then rebuilt but then he was afraid of doing crazy stunts

  18. somecartoonist

You talking about the one where K.I.T.T gets pushed into the sludge pool and it fries all of his circuitry and they sand him down and prime him a light gray?

Then K.I.T.T. is afraid to go back out and fight crime because he has lost his nerve?

  19. CapinKrinks

    its not paintball!

  20. Mr. Roboto

yeah that’s the one it didn’t last more than one episode though

  21. Rico

Yeah, Airsoft has a wide range of toy guns. They shoot small plastic BB’s that don’t really hurt you that much – slight sting. Kids love to play with them. All come with the blaze orange end tip so they don’t look exactly like a real gun. The guns can be bought for as little as $10 – 20.

Come on guys. The reason why the Transformers look like modern day automobiles (or at least what they looked like in the eighties) is the Arch’s main computer “awakes” in that period of time. The computer is broken because of the crash and mistakes cars, bikes, tape recorders etc. to be the main habitant of Earth and modifies the Transformers to adapt to their shapes. It then reanimates them all (they where all knocked out during a major battle when the Arch crashes on Earth) and they continue their fight. Even though the Arch is made by the Transformers the computer is so messed up that it can see the difference between Autobots and Decepticons. That’s why it helps them all.

Anyway back to another “robot”…K.A.R.R! During one of the first episodes of Knight Rider he goes over a cliff and explodes (apparently that doesn’t do any damage to him) and that’s how he ends up on the beach. K.A.R.R. is the prototype for K.I.T.T. but he is programmed for self-preservation (unlike K.I.T.T. that has to protect human life) and that makes him quite egocentric and evil. He is originally stored away at Knight Industries but to burglars finds him by mistake and frees him.

So Scott if the episode seems different than you remembered it, then it could be that there is more than ONE episode with K.I.T.T.’s evil stunt double ;-)
