Gateway is nice, but Dune is way better. I didn’t like children of Dune for some reason. Anybody watched Farscape. It was a nice series.
Douglas Adam’s best was the Hitchikers Guide, but he has some other very funny books…

There is ONE novell i need to mention, is Nights Dawn Triology.
thats 3 pretty fat books (1300pages each or so) and one of the best Sci-fi novells i have ever read. they are addicting to.. Never read a book that took me like that one. And i did like Clive Barker’s books of the art (Great and secret show and Everville). But those two cant be counted as sci-fi.
Isaac Asimov’s ‘Foundation’ series is good, and deep!
Im not sure if they mentioned this in the podcast (listening on it now).

I have to agree that Adam’s other books, specifically the Dirk Gently books were pretty good. I especially liked the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul (2nd of the 2).
As for TV shows — anyone else waiting for ‘Space: Above and Beyond’ to make it to DVD?

Yeah, we should of slid some B5 talk in there. Great show! Obviously there have been a huge number of Sci-Fi TV shows over the years we didn’t get to. We need to do a Part 2 on this subject sometime in the future.
