It begins with a girl doing a Wookie impression. We hop right into an in-depth conversation with Chris about his xbox modding experience. We cover all aspects and then some. In the end we have a rippin good beef call from Rico. Fun cast!

Special thanks again to Chris!
EDIT: Just a note that next Tuesdays show is all about D&D. So fans belly up to the virtual bar and send us some email! A beef call about it would be good too.

I have modded mine too, the OS in the xbox its actually a stripped down version of windows 2000, I heard this info from microsoft itself. they also said that 360´s OS is an enhanced version of the old xbox OS.
One thing I forgot to mention was the fact that I’m using the same universal remote I use for my TV, TiVo and VCR to control the Xbox. It’s a seamless part of my home theater, like the pieces.
I meant, “like the *other* pieces (meaning the TiVo, etc).
I modded mine too. I even did a little casemod on it. it has a silver X now.
Hey man, urs just became my first podcast. So yeah count one in ur fanlist.
I almost bought (even paid for) an xbox just to mod it but the day before delivery of the unit i read more about xbox360 and found it more powerful, catchy, bang-for-buck kinda deal. I mean i’d be spending almost the same amount of cash to mod an older xbox, put an HDD in it, get the dvd kit etc, pay the modder (cuz i cant solder) than the 360 costs. And it wont be long before that baby is modded too with a bigger storage unit and plethora of other goodies
Yeah, I suspect you’re right about that, but I’m pretty happy having that Xbox around to serve as a secondary entertainment box for the non-main tv, should the 360 be able to do everything the modded xb can do, though. Either way, it’s a really fun project all around, if you like to tinker.
