Our big 2007 rest of the year movie preview show! Big thanks to Len from Jawbone sitting in tonight. Enjoy! UPDATE: Downloads are slow or stalled for some of you. Turns out we have a HUGE serge of downloads happening and I am not entirely sure as to why. Must be featured somewhere, but its a little crazy. In the last 10 minutes we did about 1200 new downloads alone, so something is up. Sorry for the slowness.

Additional thanks to YouBuyNow, GoDaddy, O, Brian, Rob, Mark, Rico, Sebastian, and YOU! (And the peeps in the live chatroom.)

    Upload to iTunes please

  12. Scott

You don’t upload to itunes. :)

The file is fine, I have it downloaded manually, playing in stream form, and pulled down through iTunes on 4 different machines. All is well. Where are you located?

  13. fantasyh

Still it’s some crazy stuff there. The download on iTunes timed out on me right of the bat. Gotta wait…

  14. Propane

    I’m in Melbourne, Australia, Scott.

  15. Sulathi

but in opra mine still dose not work

  16. Scott

went from 3000 downloads to 8000 in about 30 minutes now…someone somewhere is pushing new downloads and I dont know where. not iTunes best I can tell.

  17. Darth_yoda (UK)

It is still timing out for me here in the UK… its 4:24PM UK time.

  18. Darth_yoda (UK)

You have a HUGE serge/ ‘a twilled woolen fabric’ of downloads?????? Scott i think you mean sUrge? Lol. Sorry for keeping your right LOL.

  19. B.S. Cahill

Just goes to show that there’s no such thing as bad publicity…maybe that negative (and just plain silly) negative review of the show has encouraged people to listen :D

  20. Hooodoo

Come on man. I love Space Hunter. That movie kicked butt back in the day.

  21. The Last Ninja

“…Turns out we have a HUGE serge of downloads happening and I am not entirely sure as to why…”

    Two words, Scott. Lenn. Peralta.

    ‘Nuff said.

  22. Platypus[gEc]

First off: good show, as usual (have to listen to it again though… riding a bike in the woods and concentrating on the distant voice of a columbian can be difficult ;) )

So, figured out what the surge was all about? Was it really just Len being a guest?

  23. Len

Yes. I downloaded the show about 3000 times today alone.

  24. Platypus[gEc]

That does explain a lot. Too bad this was your last visit then ;)

Did i black out or did you guys never get around to discussing what Nora’s issues are with Superheroe-movies?

  25. Len

Yeah, Scott’s ego forgot to follow up with that question. ;)

  26. Kainti

    I hate gore movies.

I hate the actors, the directors, the stories, the villians, the survivors.

I hate it when people talk about them.

    They are just plain stupid.

  27. dhelor

Regarding a remake to Oh God: they ARE working on one. Starring Ellen DeGeneres. Supposed to come out next year, if you can trust IMDB.

Also, I’m with Kainti. I can completely do without gory movies like Saw and Hostel. I might read the plot summaries that get posted on Wikipedia just to know what the big deal about them is, but actually watching the movies is a waste of two hours for me.

  28. dhelor

I also agree with Len on Harry Potter – never seen the movies, never read the books, not worth my time. There are far better books and movies that have been written/produced that are ignored because of freaking Harry Pooter (intentional misspelling).

    For instance:

    Anything by Terry Pratchett
    Anything by Robert Asprin
The Xanth series by Piers Anthony
Dune (book and original movie, not the snorefest that was made by Sci-Fi Channel)
    etc. etc. etc.
