Have to agree with Scott, I’m not a big fan of the Olive Garden. However, a good friend of mine was in their chef training program and actually spent several months in Italy at one of their culinary schools.

Brian D – I’m confused by your Terminator finale comments. They blew up Cameron (Summer Glau) in the season finale? Is that not dramatic enough?? Also, I really enjoyed the season one finale of “Heroes” with the showdown with Sylar. I think you might want to go back and watch these shows again.
P.S. Original “Star Trek” ran from 1966-69 and has been streaming episodes over at CBS.com for awhile now. Much better quality than Youtube.

Rico – You mean the excitement of blowing up the jeep while she was in it in the last 2 seconds of the show…She’s a terminator…I was not in the least bit concerned she was hurt…we have already established throughout the season that they can put themselves back together even without our help and a simple explosion/car fire is not going to do much to her. So yeah. Meh on the season finale.
I watched the Season 1 Heroes ending only once…because it was lame and I stick by that comment. It didn’t make any sense…watching it twice won’t change that fact.
Brian – I didn’t mention the whole shoot out with the other termie and cops. But the thing is, you didn’t mention any of this on ELR. It kind of sounded like you thought the season just kind of ended – and there was more to it than that. Sorry you don’t seem to like these shows. I wasn’t really defending that or saying you should. But you did seem to leave some things out of your comments that I thought you had forgotten about.
P.S. Not every TV season can end with the world blowing up!
Oh – I forgot to mention the big fact that the Terminator season was cut short by the writer’s strike too.

i know its late but i just had to post it after listening three times ><
scott, howd you get the album so early?
Rico: Don’t get me wrong. I felt like the whole first season of TSCC was awesome but in comparison to most season enders it was pretty tame. I don’t think it was necessarily a bad thing…it just was not in keeping with most shows today with the typical cliffhanger ending…but like Scott pointed out during the show it was most likely due to writer’s strike.
The shootout was pretty cool but not really any more spectacular than many other moments during the season. Overall the episode was as good as the rest but did not stand out which is why I felt like the season just kind of ended abruptly.
Also, I like Heroes. But I felt the season finale of season one was not their best work…not even close to it.
Even though I have bashed some of these show’s season enders it does not mean I did not enjoy the rest of ride on the way there.
I just feel like you have to wrap up…you don’t have to blow up the world but you do have to put your best foot forward. Just like any other form of storytelling, people are more willing to forgive your shortcomings at the beginning but it’s what you leave them with that forms people’s strongest opinions of your work.

Brian: No problem, man. I just wanted to mention some things I thought you had forgotten about. But for me the whole “Big season finale” has been kind of worn out anyway. It’s become a bit cliche’. I still watch both series, and enjoy them. They certainly beat reality TV!
Admission: I’m an iPod (and therefore iTunes) noob… only had one for a couple of months now. Can someone explain why I can get all my recent podcasts to download just fine, except ELR…?!? I’m totally stumped I’m missing the show. :/
