Excited to announce the official launch of a partnership with CrispyGamer.com. I’ve known the editor of CrispyGamer, John Keefer, since he was chief editor at GameSpy way back in 1999. He gave me my first big shot with webcomicry by running ExtraLife in the GameSpy comic rotation. When he recently approached me about creating a new comic that would appear on CrispyGamer I got pretty excited about it. Experience Points will run twice a week, and follow the adventures of Vincent and Barney, roommates held together by the sticky glue of gaming.

Even though Experience Points represents a business relationship, it also gives me a chance to play around with regular characters, something I rarely do on ExtraLife, so that will be fun.

There are already three comics up, with the latest right here. Enjoy!

Is Cripsy Gamer ever going to offer RSS feeds for its comics? Or is that contrary to their business model?

  2. Scott

    Not sure…will ask though.

  3. ThePreacher

We will offer straight RSS eventually. Right now, you can download our toolbar, if you are so inclined. Experience Points will be available from that later today.

Since there are no comments for the comics over there let me add my obligatory “Taking down Magtheridon was never this easy!” for the latest Experience Points.

Comments are coming and we are giving Scott a group at Crispy Gamer that he can run for the fans of the comic. Feel free to set up an account and post at http://community.crispygamer.com/group/Experience_Points .

And to Gene, clicking the cubes was always a pain if you were lagging. Raid wipe in progress.

Congratulations! That’s fantastic, and I really look forward to checking it out. Very cool stuff.

    He must’ve been using TypeFrag…

I second the request for RSS. Every bit of vertical space is precious, so installing a toolbar to follow a single comic isn’t exactly my idea of handy, and I use google reader to cobble together my gaming news rather than take it from one source.

    Anywhoo, RSS please!

I’m going to third the statement for a true RSS feed. I would love to read Experience Points and Ding, but I refuse to download a tool bar just for that purpose. All of my web surfing is done in Google Reader, the only time I click out is to load a video in another tab. Puts ads in it I don’t care, just don’t make us download a tool bar.

i like it, its like Dilbert meets My Extra life

@ThePreacher: Not a fan of The Instance I take it. The line is from a TypeFrag ad played at the end of The Instance written and recorded by Scott and RandyDexlue. And its cool that comments and RSS are on the way.

@ThePreacher: Not a fan of toolbar addons, thanks anyhow. As an IT professional, I am suspicious of anything I can’t vet personally.
