Don’t get me wrong. I really enjoy the game, mostly because it’s a total throw back. But it made for some good comicery.

I got UT3 played through story mode played a few online matches then uninstalled it I like it just takes up to much room on a small hard drive filled with WOW already lol

At least QuakeLive is online, there isn’t much to download or store locally…As for me, I get tired of looking at 8 different versions of Marcus Fenix, with various high-level Locust stripped skirts and crap, I’m even pretty sure it’s the same voice actor. I get it, they use the Unreal 3 engine, but shouldn’t they at least consider using different character models? It even loads textures in the same 3-step program as Gears of War 2. The only thing they need is the Lancer.

Yeah, I noticed that Reaper looks like Fenix, but outside of story mode, it’s neat how you can make a basic customized character. If Epic has the same artists during the development of UT3 and GoW1&2, it would make sense if there were similarities. One could even argue that the armor for GoW was inspired by the Juggernaut characters from UT2003/2004/Championship/Championship2.

And as much as I love me some Lancer, you should watch what happens when you land a direct hit with the bio-rifle or impact hammer when they’re fully charged; bloody good fun.

Titans and the ‘new’ Greed (I think ‘headhunter’ was a similar gametype ages ago) are very fun to play.
It certainly beats quake’s boring old DM … (IMHO)
