What was that, insulin? Is he a diabetic?

  2. SushiNinja

Sorry, not meaning to sound rude, i’m just training to be an EMT, and that looks JUST like an insulin injection.

  3. Vincent

I was expecting some big ass needle :(

  4. Scott

  5. WarlockJA

meh was like tiny didn’t even have to hunt for a vein.

I don’t see needles that often so im not inured to much to em but I give blood about 2 times a year though and always watch them inserting the plug into my arm some of those nurses (or whatever there training call to call them) are really good though I have had a few that were rotten and left bruising (now that hurts) they didn’t usually stick around to long as they are gone on later visits :)

Why does watching Scott freak out about something simple make me smile.
    .
    Is that wrong? hehe

  8. Bearbutt

What would be bad is if the guy sat there and pumped it in and out, mixing the blood with the stuff, then one big final thrust. That would be yucky.

  9. Jake

If you had blood in the syringe when you aspirated, you’d be in a blood vessel, and that would be no good :) Also, poking it in slowly is worse :P Jab and push and yank it out! Was that supposed to be in a muscle or subcutaneous?

  10. Bearbutt

Injections are not yucky enough. Slit the skin open, spoon the stuff in, and staple it back shut again.

  11. Gracity

hmm I was expecting some huge needle ;(

  12. Andrew

Man, it was so tiny though! ;)

  13. Bearbutt

It’s basically a vitamin injection. Hcg and B-12.

ok. dude. I have given myself a shot every day since july of 2004. it gets boring fast. it took me about three weeks. now it is, meh. the most trauma inducing for me is the stomach shot. and actually I almost never feel it there. but emotionally….it was bad.
